Many parents tell me:
“My child does a lot of Math practice, but still freezes during tests.”
One common issue we see is this
Children memorise steps, but don’t understand why they are doing them.
A quick check you can try at home:
Ask your child to explain why they chose a method, not just show the answer.
If they struggle to explain, it usually means the foundation isn’t firm yet.
At our Math specialist centre in the East Coast area, we spend a lot of time helping students break down:
• what the question is really asking
• how to choose the right method
• how to avoid common careless mistakes
We work with small classes (max 8 students) and support:
• Primary & Secondary (MOE)
• International students (IGCSE)
If any parents would like to observe how we teach, we’re currently offering a free trial lesson for new students.
Feel free to PM me if you’d like more details.
