After hearing so much from the brothers and inspired by her piano teacher, my dd which is only in P2 has already set her dream sch -- SOTA. You are telling me it is possible for 60+ to get in, so what is their minimum or cut off marks...I only know that it has to be 200 (PSLE aggregate) cos they only have Express courses.

Once a CO is given the student only need to score 200 or enough to enter express. At the end of the day, no harm trying but the chance of getting a CO also depends on the quality of cohort applying to SOTA in that particular year.

Just discovered Temasek Sec School in Bedok also had CO.

My son get in thru' DSA-Sport to Ngee Ann.
They offer him confirm seat for Express,NA and NT
Ngee Ann has all 3 type of class. This is the main reason, why I shortlisted this school during DSA application.

For Ngee Ann, need to provide certified true copy from Pri 4 to pri 6, CCA record and other relevant documents (like scholarship, etc)

I also tried DSA-Sport on Anglican High.

My son new team mate at Ngee Ann, join Ngee Ann thru' DSA-sport. They meet each other when they went for Anglican High sport trial.

That boy play better than my son and his result was #1 in the small group game but also not selected due to his school result.

The conclusion, we come out. Anglican high look at your academic result from pri 5 mid/pri 5 end and pri 6 mid.

If your academic result not good, they will not shortlisted you even you preform well during the trial.

Looks like the situation is not getting any better. After the 2nd day at school, which ended at about 9:30pm, my girl is not her usual self.

She didn't say anything from last night till now.......

When I checked on her, she teared and asked if it was possible to change a different school.

Oh dear..how can I help her???

I had called MOE and queried on transfer but they said MOE do not handle such matters and told me to contact the schools directly. Tried a few schools but no vacancies available.

Anyone here knows if there are any vacancies in the east zone?

Have you gone to your child's primary school to collect PSLE certificate? On the result released date, we only collected the results slip.

PSLE results collect day, my child school give my child a paper.
Indicate 23 Dec to 28 Dec , collect PSLE certificate from primary school from 9am to 3pm.

This new stress will cause parents to start preparing their kids very young from nursery to kindergarten age (n2 to k2) to do :-

- competitive sports (swimming, tennis, quash, badminton, table tennis, bowling, golf, etc)

- competitive performing arts (visual arts, all kinds of dance, etc)

- competitive in other aspects, no more for recreational purpose

FYI
It has started few years back when there is DSA-sport.
Parents has sent kids for extra training lesson for sport even the kid not able to perform well (even the school coach tell the parent don't spend that money, her kid will not be selected to the school team, not even as reserve)

Does the child need to wear their primary school uniform or home clothing is ok ? How do we check what activities are in-placed for that day ? Have check the school website and there is no information available...
