Hi parents,

I tried to apply for school A during phase 2C (Singapore Citizen). The school is between 1-2 km. Got a call from school that the school is balloting for Students registered <1 km. So we with drew and submitted application for School B. Got admission in school B and completed the administration process.
We applied for wait list in School A through email just to try our luck.
Got a call a few days ago about a vacancy and if we are still interested. We said yes.

School A informed us that they will send us letter of acceptance..

Does any one know what is the process and how long it takes?
School A is old and much sought after..
School B is a good neighborhood school with decent results.
I hope we made correct decision and my daughter likes it.

I just completed transfer for my girl to a neighbourhood school last week. The whole process for me is only 3 days.

Once you received the letter of acceptance(I went to the school to collect), you make an appointment with school B to bring the form to be endorsed for withdrawal. They may keep the form for a few days depending if relevant person to sign is avaliable in school. Once done, pick up the endorsed form and return back to school A by appointment.

We intend to apply for wait list for Queenstown pri school a neighbourhood school which we did not apply as we are outside 2km. We are unsuccessful in our only 1km school Hpps in phase 2C. Meanwhile have applied for Pei Tong at phase 2CS.[/quote]

Found the transfer application form at their website. Fill up once you get the SMS confirming your place at Pei Tong.

I understand that we can request for a place in the waiting list after securing a place in Phase 2CS.

Is it possible to apply for a place in the waiting list for a school we did not apply during Phase 2C?

Its getting very annoying that this year MOE is really playing with parents patience. Its wed the 12th we are supposed to get an update and still none.

Is Queenstown or clementi town pri better?

By the way, it's Clementi Primary School. Just beside Clementi Town Secondary School.

You are all in line that Queenstown at over 2km is not a good bet.
Guess I will need to carry on with Henry Park as that is the only school within 1km. If failed, then Pei Tong as 2CS as it’s within 1 to 2km. Clementi I will have no chance at 2CS as I am over 2km. Believe those that fail balloting at Nanhua will fall in at Clementi at 2CS.

Hi Experts,

Now in a dilemma to continue to try Henry Park which is within 1km with Pei Tong as 2CS backup.

OR

To try for Queenstown which is over 2km, which might end up no chance to ballot?

Any huge difference between Pei Tong and Queenstown? Queenstown seem to be getting popular the last 2 years.

Me too but not so stressful, just let it be.

<1km - Henry Park - nearest so have to try
1-2km - Fairfield Methodist - no chance to ballot
1-2km - Pei Tong - sure in even during phase 2CS
