How do we find out on the school uniform supplier? Sorry, it's my first time too with a kid in P1. No idea on what is the orientation like or will be 😓

I found the uniform supplier info on the school website. 🙂 Otherwise maybe can call to ask!

http://euniforms.com.sg/schedule.html - school uniform supplier for several schools - their shop is at Sembawang Shopping Centre.
what should those unsuccessful parents do if they cant get a place in the balloting process? just curious..

For Singaporeans, they go through the MOE placement, so MOE will place the child in a school with available places before phase 3 starts.

The school at which they registered at 2CS will give them a form with a list of the schools still with vacancies, from which they pick 3 choices. Then MOE will do the allocation.
wah..MOE does the allocation.. that's quite risky.. if more ppl choose the same school then have to go balloting again? or first come first serve?
The school officer asked me better register the schools with vacancies instead of wait until MOE to allocate. He said it is more risky if MOE allocate. I took his words and registered my son with school with vacancies at P2Cs.

i received official sms from MOE at 8.06am… i already knew that i managed to secure a place for my son after MOE published the school vacancies on 15 Aug as the school i registered still have plenty of vacancies… every primary school is a good school in Singapore. so does not matter whether you manage to get into a popular school or not. as long as your child study happily in the school and have a good childhood life… that’s most important to me… cheers everyone…

the school that i registered this P2Cs was oversubscribed. the school admin was so kind and called to ask me to withdraw and register at other school which has higher chance. Not all schools did that… sigh

This amazes me because my nephews are at St. G and that school was a \"last choice\" for their parents during their 2CS phase, having been balloted out of other preferences in Phase 2B and 2C. Amazing phenomenon with the dragon year. I wonder if the next dragon year will see history repeating itself - surprised that even our generation is still into these \"auspicious years\". :scratchhead:
SG50 babies is more than dragon year..which is my 2nd kid !! Think even go do parent volunteer also not guaranty got vacancy.
if SG50 baby is 2nd kid, then you can actually register at Phase 1 (the school that your first kid studying). no worry at all.

Personally I feel that distance based priority should be above the alumni and such.

The first phase should let all within 1 km to apply. The priority can be same as current system. Alumni higher than old boys old girls higher than PV higher than others but all within 1km. If oversubscribe then need to ballot

If there are leftover, open for people within 1 to 2km. It does not make sense for people living more than 2km to travel to the school daily and people living just beside the school to travel far
fully agreed. it makes sense for kids with siblings currently studying in the school to apply first (phase 1).. followed by those kids of the school teachers/staff.. next would be those staying within 1km..
