You can ballot again at 2C for WSP but you will have to withdraw your 2B at SAPS. Hence there is no such thing as \"still have 2B at SAPS when balloting is not successful at 2C\".

There are quite a number of schools available for PR kids at Phase 2C island wide, unless you state the area/location in which you'll be moving to, practically quite hard to list out all the schools.

Hello! My son(2019 born) will be registering for P1 next year. We are PRs and I am trying to figure out which school to apply to. We live in a rented unit and it's within 1KM of popular schools only. So I believe PR kids don't stand a chance there. Our lease will be ending this year , so will.be moving to another unit next year, near school for Phase 2c. How can I get the information about which school can PR get into in Phase 2C and is still considered good school. Can help me understand pls?

Hahaha yes absolutely that would be the safest route, the hardest part would be the last day of Phase 2C where OP needs to decide whether to pull out her 2A KCPPS application or not.

I guess different people have different risk profiles. Personally speaking, to be \"safe\", I would go for KCPPS in Phase 2B, then wait to see if it is worthwhile to withdraw and take my risk in CHS in Phase 2C. Most times, I would just stay in KCPPS rather than to risk not getting a preferred school at all...

I would still go for Catholic High as it's a school that's worth the risk. But of course need to go in with open mind and even more importantly, you must be comfortable and at peace with your 2CS backup school.

Can I ask what the chances are of putting my child in Cat High primary for phase 2C, <1km? I’m considering between that and KCPPS (Alumni, <1km). I prefer Cat High but I’m wondering if it’s too risky to forego my chance at the earlier phase for KCPPS in order to try for Cat High at phase 2C.

Am not familiar with the school though an acquaintance's twins went there. She liked the school, as in not much stress and taught her kids good values. Other than that I don't know much. Another friend also considered NAPS last year, she feels it's a good school with affiliation to secondary school, but ended up with Haig Girls instead as much closer to home. Perhaps other parents here can share more abt NAPS. All the best!

Ngee Ann Primary seems safe for Phase 2C. If you're in Siglap and have a daughter, CHIJ Katong Convent comes to mind.

im alumnus of RGPS. husband is not singaporean. currently renting a place in siglap, which we are used to.
was thinking of applying to ngee ann primary school, but not sure of our chances. or if its a good school (looking at conducive environment, safety - no vaping, mental health).

My son is in this school, and yes he did experience some bullying before. He fought back by telling the bullies to get lost and to focus on their school work instead. He also told the principal abt it. So far it has stopped.


Bullies exist in every school, it's also parents' job to educate kids on how to \"fight\" back. Am not saying we should tell them to punch and kick, but to stand up for themselves and not to give bullies a chance. The discipline master is very strict and parents have been known to get calls from school. With regards to grooming boys to be homosexuals, SJIJ is very religious, so don't see how the school can spread gay messages through their mass and assemblies. But, if my son were to one day tell me abt it, I would not hesitate to go to the principal's office as he has an open door policy for students and parents to discuss issues in a transparent manner.
