I withdrew my 5 year old daughter from Edvox Music school after 4 months of learning 1 to 1 violin. The teacher has bachelor degree of music but she could not really teach well. She did not correct my dd’s posture when she did not hold the violin & bow properly. Can see that the teacher did not have much passion in teaching. I then switch my dd to another home based teacher & she improve so much after only 1 month lesson. Prestigious school does not mean having good music teachers. Good teachers usually doesnt teach in music schools.

If u want to go into Poi Ching in phase 2c, make sure you are able to find a back up school in phase 2c (s) in less than 2km from your house in case cannot enter poi ching. You should do research on past history to see if you have chances of entering the back up school in phase 2c (s). If need to ballot in phase 2c(s), i suggest do not take the risk, better straight away enter tampines primary. Otherwise if phase 2c(s) fail, government will allocate you a school & cannot appeal.

If i register to become a member of the SBF, would i be on time to register her under phase 2b for next year P1 registration? I need your advice here. I'm staying in Chai Chee and need to register my girl for P1 next year. The only schools that are within 1km from my home are opera estate and east coast primary which are not my first choice. I thought of registering my girl in Gongshang as I'm a former student but the biggest worry is she may have to wake up very early to board the school bus. Does anyone know how long (estimate) is the travelling time from bedok to the school? If class ends at 1.30pm, what time will she reach home and does the school bus pick the students up punctually at 1.30pm once the class ends?
