Sorry I wasn’t clear. My dd2 had bronze MO cert (I think 2) and a bronze sci whizz cert. her maths results for P5/6 SAs were around 99, Sci range from 86-95% (she didn’t have subject prize in science) She chose science DSA because she likes science. Yes all subj >90 in P6.

Err... I think this should not generalize to all domains for NYGH DSA. Please note that there are domains where no selection tests will be conducted, e.g., Innovation & Creativity. Applicants will have to be shortlisted for interview. There are no selection tests prior. So how did the school shortlist the applicants for interview? Must be based on certain profile and history of achievement, no? Of course the school is going to look at what awards, leadership achievements, portfolio, and school results. If you don't have some of those in the first place, you can't even get shortlisted. This is true even for those with selection tests, unless all those who applied are invited to take the selection tests. Even if you can perform well in the interview, if you are not shortlisted for the interview in the first place you don't even have a chance. I have also heard of cases where the school wanted a particular talent (e.g., track) so much that as long as the girl \"does ok\" in the interview (doesn't have to 'twist' her brain properly), she would be offered CO. What you might be trying to say, though, is that there is no one single criteria that determines a CO/WL (e.g., must have xx awards in a particular domain), which I agree.

All schools, by virtue of DSA process, want to cherry pick the girls/boys they want. Top schools (RI, HCI, RGS, NUS High, NJC, ACSI, MGS, etc., NYGH is only one of top schools, to be fair) have a bigger pool to choose from because they are more popular hence more students applied, thus more competitive.

Only a bronze for nmos. I also have a few awards for SASMO,a math olympiad across asia. I am so called the \"top\" in class for math but i can be careless at times. I'm also prefect for 4 years now???

Yah. I support it too. But I think it is not easy.
Hence there is the sports and other domains for the MS to try for DSA.
