I would like DD1 to get into IP IB. Then I no longer worry about HCL (which is a pain to me) and A level Chinese. Alas the cutoff point for IP is so high.... :nailbite:

      IB no need do chinese?
      i thought still have?
i thought IB no need worry about HCL Olevel as no benefits, but why no worry about Alevel chinese??

IB don't have O level or A level, isn't it? I think they still take chinese as a subject but HCL wouldn't help.

At P6, it is likely to take more than 5-15 to go through a few questions with your child. We can take up to an hour to go through subjects like Math and Chinese open ended compre. Sometimes I have to do my own studying first to figure out how to solve the question before going through it with my child. Either DH or myself will try to spend 30min to an hour every weekday on revision.

I don’t think Scott cod liver oil is anything similar to Omega Oil. If you look at the packaging, it says only includes Vitamin A and D plus calcium. There is no DHA associated with omega oil. I would suggest spending more money to buy Omega Oil instead.

      Please assist with this question:

There are 40 pupils in a class. Each boy donated $3 and each girl donated $2. The boys donated $30 more than the girls.
      How many boys are there?
      How many girls are there?

      Thanks!

      Assume all boys donated, total amount --> 40 x $3 = $120
      $120 - $30 = $90 --- excess amount to be reduced by girls' donation
      Number of girls = $90/($3+$2) = 18
      Number of boys = 40-18 = 22

      cheers.

Thanks but still dont get it.. Can provide narration? Thanks

I think kids need something else beside study to channel their boredom and divert their attention for a while, thus gaining a fresher felling when they go back on revision.

My dd's number 1 hobby is reading not music. She's a giantic bookworm, reads anything from encyclopedia to reader digests to survival series comics. I'm not sure if there's such as term as over-reading although she certainly seems to be way too engrossed whenever she reads, to the extent of blocking out my voice. So her incentive is if she manages to complete homework quickly (no dilly dally), she can read as much as she likes to wind down

Same for myDD1. She loves to read and relaxes by doodling or writing letters to friends. Although has stopped music which she has lost interest in, she is still pursuing interest in dance. Think she has enough on her plate.

Dd came home yesterday, very excited about her first E2K session. Topic was on the salinity of water. And she started to rattle on and on about \"why the Red Sea is part of the Indian Ocean, and yet it is saltier than the Indian Ocean itself and blah, blah, blah.....

So happy to see her raised interest and enthusiasm :rahrah:

Out of curiosity, do all the P5s cover the same topic, or do they differ, depending on individual schools?
I don't think so. My DD1 covered that for her first E2K lesson in P4.
