hi help here. anyone knows how the school bus system work? if we stay at punggol, how long is the est journey from home to SNGS? what happens if child stay back for CCAs? will there be school buses at all times? appreciate all advice!

Not sure abt punggol but i stay at marine parade. School bus picks her up at 5.55am. When sch ends at 1.15, she reaches home at 3. When sch ends at 1.45, she reaches home ard 3.30. On IT training days, sch ends at 4 and she reaches home about 4.45pm.

If the child has remedial, school bus will send them back at a small fee every mth. One thing is I really love the bus drivers cos they treat the girls like their own daughters. So far no complaints. Thumbs up to them

My DD takes the Sch bus while my boys walk to school. So far it’s not the logistics that’s the issue but the Sch work, ESP show and tell!!


I get what u mean about the remedial cos I do that for my boys too… Called the teacher and begged her to let both attend the class together… Lol

My triplets just entered P1 this year. Boys are in the same class, while my girl is in a girls' school. The 2 schools use different Maths textbooks.


Personally, I am thankful the boys are in the same class so their spelling and tests are on the same day. Now they are in Term 2, and I am getting a huge headache trying to keep track of the mini tests of these 2 schools. :razz:

there are 2 red clear folders, 1 is blank and the other says maths. Are we supposed to have another, as the pink booklet says there should be 1 Chinese clear folder?

Also, is the red Art clear folder carrying bag necessary for the p1s? I read in the pink booklet students will be given lockers to keep art materials and books? Is this true? At P1, can they manage lockers?

Hi HC_Parent, the book list stated 1 red clear holder for Music, 1 red file for Maths, and 1 plastic ring file for Chinese.

Is there a red Art clear folder? Is this the optional item that is selling at the bookshop u are talking about? Cos the art folder stated on the book list is actually a huge white file-like thing that says \"My Art Folio\" with a plastic file inside.

Just to share some comments from my DH, who accompanied my DD to the orientation yesterday (he usually is quite stingy with compliments). He thought that the orientation was fantastic and the school was prepared and organised, making the whole event truly impressive.

The booklist is available at the bookshop too. It is located within the canteen. The bookshop is open for many days during the holidays too, so no worries..there's usually no queue during the weekdays..


Pls check the House your child is in before buying pe attire. The list should be available on the notice board just outside the bookshop.. Currently, it is still the 2011 list..you should see the new list on Saturday.

bookshop (for books and uniforms) is closed for packing today and tmr. Sch books sale starts sat.

:oops: i didn't see this msg earlier.. and made a wasted trip to the bookshop just now...

My DD is in St Nicks (2A1), only the 2 boys are in TNS. Not daring enough to try to ballot for her in TNS.
