      At 0900 Shane and Joey started jogging from the same place but in opposite directions along a straight line. After jogging for two hours, they were 18km apart. If Shane's average jogging speed was 5.2km/h, find the distance travelled by Joey from 0900 to 1100.

      (1) 10.4km
      (2) 7.6km
      (3) 4.5km
      (4) 3.8km
      ..............J...........18km...............S
      .............<----------!---------------------->\t
      ------------------------x------------------------------\t\t
      \t\t
      After 2h, Shane jogged 5.2x2=10.4km\t\t
      Joey jogged 18-10.4=7.6km

      I think the square STYZ should be fully shaded.
      So cut the two square into 8 small triangles each,
      and the rectangle 4 small triangles.
      Total triangles =8x2+4=20
      Shaded triangles =8+3=11
      Fraction of shaded figure=11/20

      Hi

      Please help with these questions, thanks.

      A pharmacist paid $2363 for some bottles of vitamins and fish oil. He bought 4 times as many bottles of fish oil as vitamins. Each bottle of fish oil cost $19 less than each bottle of vitamins. He spent $901 more on the fish oil than on the vitamins. How much does each bottle of vitamins cost?

      2363-901=$1462
      1462/2=$731
      731+901=$1632

      Cost of vitamins=$731->1u

      1u cost of fish oil=1632/4=$408
      1u cost of vitamin=$731

      Difference in cost of 1u =731-408=$323
      Difference in 1 bottle of fish oil and vitamin=$19

      No of bottles for 1u =323/19=17
      Cost of 1 bottle of vitamin=$731/17=$43

      Kris baked 68 muffins every day. Five days after Kris started baking, Mandy started baking 90 muffins each day. How many muffins had Kris baked when Mandy had baked 254 more muffins than Kris?
      68x5=340
      Total difference=340+254=594
      Unit difference=90-68=22
      No of days Mandy take =594/22=27

      No of muffins Kris baked=32x68=2176
