Hi all, our child is still in infant care (we are at maple bear experential at grandstand currently, considered pats at infant care stage but location choices didnt make sense), but we are planning ahead and considering pats schoolhouse or etonhouse when the kid is older. if there are any parents whose kids are in pats (ridgewood, tanglin or fairways), or eton (hwa chong or vanda) - appreciate if you could share your feedback and experience please (about teachers, environment, curriculum)! feel free to PM me as well please.

*we considered kiddiewinkie grandstand previously for infant care, but went with maple bear experential eventually due to small teacher student ratio, the teachers and non-commercial feel. but we did feel that kiddiewinke was not bad too

we are actually super happy now at maple bear experential infant care and might end up staying there, but would always like to learn about our options when our child is a bit older (we are first time parents who sent our kid from two months old so we were pretty worried about everything, we considered close to 10 centres before we went to the current infant care centre haha. the centre has taken much better care of our child than even we expected, and have been super accommodating of our requests in caring for our child - we wrote a few page \"guide\" on our child on everything from feeding to napping to playtime etc for the teachers to absorb and follow when he first started and they've followed up so well. happy to share our experience on infant care to anyone interested, though our experience is only limited to infant care for now!)

If you are happy with Maplebear, why don't you stay there? I think Maplebear and Pat's schoolhouse in terms of teaching methodology quite similar. If you are looking for a place that is more academic, then Maplebear and Pat's may not be so suitable. Many of my friends who sent their kids to Pats also send their kids to enrichment classes. They feel Pats is a good environment, fun and kids love it but they need outside help if they want their kids very prepared for P1..but if you are quite the relax kind, they Maplebear and Pat's are good choices.

thanks very much coolit for the sharing. i guess staying is something we will definitely consider, though being curious parents who really haven't done any research for anything beyond infant care, we will keep a ear out for any reviews or views that all you more experienced parents may have through this forum 😃

    • RE: Learning Vision

just to share that for infant care we considered learning vision hwa chong, kiddiewinkie grandstand, my first skool holland drive, global tots chip bee, little skool house vista, maple bear experiential grandstand, agape little uni commenwealth (the infant care part of this school closed down in the end). we didn’t manage to visit all the schools, but to be honest learning vision hwa chong ended up ranking the lowest - it felt like a pretty cold environment and we were not impressed with the quality and experience of the educators we met (though to be fair, it was only one visit), we didnt like that the teachers were wearing uniforms, and the location is really pretty far in. if one is okay with that location, probably should consider the ones at the grandstand which can probably offer a lot more outdoor activities for the kids as well). we ended up at maple bear experiential, very happy there.

    • RE: My First Skool (former NTUC Childcare)

Hi there, just to share that previously my husband and I called and visited My First Skool at holland drive as we were considering infant care there. we spoke to one of the teachers there as well. we were quite happy with the environment and the fees are reasonable as well, however, they were full so we did not go with them in the end but if they had space we would have considered (in the end we signed up with agape little uni at commenwealth but they closed down their infant care !! we ended up at maplebear experiential at grandstand and we couldn’t be happier with it now. phew!)
