Happy Mama:
I flipped to that Science book under Interactions (P4) and found a question which was almost like duplicated from past year paper.

It's an open-ended question on pulley system. That's another book I will get soon 😉

You mean the Science Process Skills assessment?

Yes. The pulley system as asked in question on magnet...ie how magnetic and non-magnetic materials are separated.
The other 'hot' question often asked is the Maglev train for magnets.
Thanks, so the question is actually tested on Magnets. Pulley system (under Simple Machines) was no longer in the new syllabus.

It's very difficult to get into RGS via MEP. Friend's dd who is very talented in music, has diplomas, performances under her belt etc didn't get in. It probably has to do with the strict GAT test as well.

But it's easy to get into MEP if you are already in the school(eg. using your psle score alone). It's only difficult to get in using it for DSA.

Yes. Once you're in RGS, MEP is just an additional subject you have to apply for, like 3rd lang, SAP etc, provided you meet the requirements.
Moreover, as long as a PASS (not necessary Merit/Distinction) in Grade 5 in both Theory & Practical will do.

      Hello everyone,

Would like to solicit some opinions and comparisons on Nanhua and Rulang. Distance is not an issue and I could register my ds in both schools under the same phase. Thanks very much!

Here wishing all a happy and prosperous lunar new year!
I will choose Nanhua. It is not only a SAP school but it also offers GEP Programme. A lot of students who cannot get in GEP after the 2nd round will try to transfer to Nanhua in P4.

      Happy Lunar New Year!

Calling all PSLE Parents? do you feel the stress now? I need some tips on how to destress my child. Simple Ways for DS to relax daily! Thanks

All the PSLE parents, do let your children enjoy the CNY holidays first as they will not be able to enjoy their Children's Day (& also the last Children Day) this year!

One of my child’s classmate was school representative for Weiqi, won many prizes, never score 90+ for maths but clinched Gold award for SMOPS. Got in one of the top sec schools through DSA by Weiqi & SMOPS. This child’s PSLE score was less than the COP of the sec school.

The school asked us to buy already. Cost like S$8.70 for all 5 subjects, I think. How much is it at Popular?

It cost $4.00 each at Popular if I'm not wrong.

Wah, i was at popular just now - really cost S$3-S$4 per booklet. Wow, so we bought in school at a real bargain! As in, we bought from a vendor who was in school just yesterday & today.
Could it be that the booklets bought from school are without the answer sheets?
