Think BTPS will ballot within 2km this year. Overflow from the area is double of previous years.

I agree with your view. Yet I'm still wondering where are all these children coming from?

Firstly the MOE increased BTPS seats, reduced PR quota. Yet still after 2C there are lesser seats in BTPS than last year. At least 50+ SCs took 2C seats. And still there are likely to be double SC applicants in 2CS vs last year, as you say.

      What gives?

BTPS seems to be getting more popular now... There are people who want to avoid balloting in their own estates and go straight to BTPS during 2C, so the people who got in during 2C are not confined to Bukit Timah area.[/quote]Does it mean no point to try BTPS as I am more than 2km away? I am staying at Balmoral / Novena area, which school that is left is better?

May I know what are good 2CS options, we live near Novena / Balmoral.

      Farrer Park, Stamford, Bendemeer

May I know how are these compared to Bukit Timah? Seems like Bukit Timah is a popular 2CS choice as well.

    • RE: All About Singapore Birth Rates

      Aztac\" post_id=\"1966448\" time=\"1583821966\" user_id=\"132972:

Let me share on the Citizen birth rates:

Horse year 2014 was 33.2k and SG50 Goat year was 33.7k and thereafter 2016 Monkey year was 33.1k (source from Dept of Statistics and ICA).

As such, 2014 to 2016 primary school registration (2020 to 2022) will likely see fierce competition like Dragon Year 2012 (which recorded 33.2k citizen births).

Going by Dragon year registration statistics in 2018, I believe 2020 to 2022 registration will be largely similar (with 2021 SG50 batch seeing alittle more intense \"fights\").

I didn't research into gender birth rate except for 2015 SG50 one (as my DD is SG50 girl), which I painstakingly calculated roughly 20k FEMALE vs 13.7k MALE citizen births. This means GIRL schools will be HOT next year 2021 registration.

The above does not take into account new citizens.

      Hope the above helps.
May I know how do you calculate the gender birth rate?

For phase 2C, is there any where to check for updates on number of applicants?
