Need advice from experienced mom please.
May I know is there any difference in NS duration with regards to the vocation? Is it 22 months?
My son was enlisted in Jan 2020. If he needs to serve for 22 months, does it mean that he would be completing his full time service around Nov 2021? As such, should be looking at entering U in 2022?
Yes, your son will be entering U in August 2022 unless if he is taking medicine course.

My son was enlisted in Jan 20. Yes, his first book out was the third weekend.
When is the first weekend home for BMT? Is it still the third weekend of enlistment? -

Seriously donch remember my boy packing detergent when he enlisted. But, yes, doing laundry was part of BMTusaik\" post_id=\"1952519\" time=\"1575961698\" user_id=\"1252:
Hi,
Not sure if this a stupid question. I noticed that one of the items listed as a need to bring is clothes washing powder/detergent on the enlistment letter. I assume the NS boys would be doing their laundry manually \"by hand\" instead of having a washer available for them to use, anyone here know what kind of washing power/detergent would be recommended for them and how much do they need to bring? Is there any convenience store in the camp where they can buy more if need be?
I am also curious where can they do their laundry and when would they have the chance to do their laundry.
Don't think they will need a lot...perhaps just look for the smallest bottle of liquid detergent available in the supermart -

All depends on what he ends up doing ... you can find out more here ....https://www.cmpb.gov.sg/web/portal/cmpb/home/parents-guide/your-sons-ns-commitments
My son's enlistment is 2 Jan 2020 too. Didn't know that there were boys enlisted in Dec in the past. He already had holiday booked in Dec before the notice came.usaik\" post_id=\"1937570\" time=\"1569508775\" user_id=\"1252:
Some JC boys already received letter for 2 January 2020 enlistment. So, now the standard is to give the enlistment date 3+ months in advance? That is very good!
Does anyone know for boys enlisted for 2 Jan 2020, when would they complete their full time NS and can be discharged to move on to their next phase of life?
He will have a better sense after he enters ... anyway .. it is 2 years or less, lots of time to think and plan inside the camp!
Thanks Hendon. That's a lot of useful information on the website! -
