Using simultaneous equations as learnt in Sec 1 during my time. Not sure if this method is allowed in P6?

X is no of members in jan and Y is no of members after that

0.8x-55=0.6y ------(1)
0.2x+75=0.4y ------(2)
0.8x-0.6y=55-----(3) from rearranging (1)
0.2x-0.4y=-75------(4) from rearranging (2)
1.6x-1.2y=110-----(3) x2
0.6x-1.2y=-225------(4) x 3
X=335 ---------(3) - (4)

I was told St Anthony’s Canossian Primary School will no longer have PV program for next year onwards ie for kids born in Y2009.


That means the PV for kids born in Y2008 is the last batch.
