Thanks qms for the reply. How about GES vs QtPS? Which one would u recommend for Phase 2C?

...My teacher friend who lives infront of QT said that the principal of QT was her primary school principal, and her colleague at MOE hq says that their school program is quite established.

GES, I like that they have taekwondo, and their teacher's profile on the site looks really fun. The principal was transferred from a very good sch.

Thanks qms for sharing the post here.

      Dear parents,

I’ve recently moved to Queenstown and in preparation for P1 registration, I would like to ask for feedback about Queenstown Pri in general.
What are the things you like about the school?
      What is the school culture?
Does your child have a good balance of academic and non academic development?
Are there any areas that you would like to see an improvement?
Would appreciate if you could share your views. Thanks.

    • RE: 2019 P1 Registration Exercise for 2020 In-take

      Dear Parents

We recently moved house to Queenstown. We are SC and our first child was born in 2013 and will be registering for P1 next year. As both parents do not have any affiliation, we will be in Phase 2C. We have the following schools to consider:
      Queenstown Pri (within 1km)
      Gan Eng Seng (1-2km)
Alexandra Pri has better reviews but it is >2km.

Can I seek some advise on the following options:
      A) Apply for Alexandra Primary in Phase 2C. If unsuccessful, apply for Queenstown Primary in Phase 2CS which is walking distance but may risk not getting in / or may need to ballot.
      B) Apply for Queenstown Primary in Phase 2C which is high chance of success as we are within 1km and it is less popular among the primary schools in the area.

Would appreciate any parents who can share views or advice as we are new to the area. Thanks!

      Hi KSPs

Are there any parents who have successfully enrolled their child into Xin Min and like to share their registration experience like which Phase and whether balloting was required and distance between home and school?

      Hi Parents

My child was born in Mar 2013. We stay in Kovan and looking at the primary schools near to/in this area like Rosyth, Xin Min, Holy Innocents, St Andrews. Glad to have this thread to share our views in preparing for Pri school registration.

      Hi KSP

Is it possible to use address on Father's IC (that is currently rented out n lease ending so will be able to change address after lease ends) to apply for Pri school in Phase 2C n if it was unsuccessful, we use address on Mother's IC (where we are staying now) to register in Phase 2CS? We intend to move back to the Father's address if it's successful in Phase 2C as it is within one km of a preferred school. I'm asking for Pri one registration in 2019 as we are planning if we should move after the lease ends. Will MOE require both parents IC address to be the same at the time of registeration?

      :thankyou:
