We get to know the class allocation when my girl attended the orientation. The school pasted the name lists and classes on the whiteboard outside the hall at level 2. The system change might be due to change of principal this year. No restrictions of story books to bring, the school just want the students to have some silent time.

Chance upon this thread…my elder girl is P3 next year. No worries as Hua Min is not stressful. For P1, the first week will be relax and fun. The school will slowly lead them. Students ( called buddy) from P5 will be assign to every P1 students to lead them during recess time… help/teach them to buy food, familiar with the school surroundings etc for about a week. Parents are not allow to go in the tuckshop to help them buy food, can only stand aside and watch them.
