Tomoko:Just realized that only 2 registration days for all phases except for P2C.. 3 days for each online and school registration.. what is the rationale for such \"longer\" registration timeframe?
hi, anyone has the stats for ngee ann primary now?
Orb:Day 1 & 2 is not a good indication. Wait for Day 3 to have a good sense of the situation.Rpoon:[quote=\"tinywings\"]omg! A lot of schools are over subscribed just day 2 only.
Don’t wanna see the day 3 results already. Many people will have sleepless nights
Tokidoki:same here! suddenly lost confidence in balloting when I starting asking and finding out about the odds :yikes:actually i thought i have already made up my mind b4 P1 registration starts.forthelilones:
U r same situation as me, tussle on which is the more logical choice....extra stress to ballot for chongfu or believe in \"every school a good school\" and directly n safely register for a less popular school. *headache*
really 'headache'.
Sag::thankyou:Can call sch go check on the breakdown if oversubscribed. Register on third day might be an option.vivi_vivi:Maris Stella 1-2km
St Andrews junior >2km
Geylang methodist >2km
Mee toh >2km
Maris Stella is my first choice but am worried balloting will omit 1-2km entirely due to the little number of vacancies left for Phase 2C this year.
Pls advise on chances. And what is the next best second choice.
Thanks!
anyone has stats for geylang methodist? and st andrew’s junior?
Jamiek:Thanks! Got this from those who are registering in person at the school? Seems like I better look for alternatives... :lightrod:Just sharing
Maris Stella
within 1km 44 applicants
1-2 km 10 applicants
> 2km 1 applicant
Spottybamboo:maybe it's that particular school who doesn't reveal the stats? last few years I do have friends saying their pri schools of choice will have sch admins around the registration area helping parents by providing such info.I just called the school. They said for this year they won't be able to give the number of how many children within 1,1-2 or >2km have registered, even on the last day. Only MOE has the number.
Have anyone experienced the same?
Lexy:Thanks Lexy! I think I will go down to the MSH and SA to check if teachers will reveal the stats for <1km and 1-2km numbers. hopefully will be clearer on the balloting odds by then. :xedfingers:vivi_vivi:Maris Stella 1-2km

Thanks!Jnhh:For both:Maris Stella 1-2km (42 vacancies for 2C)
Yangzheng 1-2km (31 vacancies for 2C)
Which is a safer bet? Thanks very much.
Maris stella TUR has increased this year. I found a info on the last day (morning) of 2017 registration: see below.
https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=83199&p=1788839&hilit=maris#p1788839
It suggest that even if there is a chance for 1-2km, the spots will be very low.
For vivi_vivi : mee toh is out, dont try, St andrew: dont have the breakdown of the applicants for previous years but the TUR this year of 79%, but maybe still ballot for >2km folks. Geylang Methodist has the safest odds. At the same time, i wonder beside all these school you chose, is there any as its either out of range or too close call.
For Jnhh, Yangzheng TUR too high this round, you need to monitor the numbers for the breakdown. Looking purely at the MOE closing number day to day isnt enough, you need exact breakdown <1km. 1-2km etc.
