    • RE: CHIJ St Joseph's Convent

Hi I am currently in sec 5 for a month waiting for pfp posting and I have an advice for parents with kids in CHIJ St. Joseph's Convent. If you would like to save some money when buying new books every year for your child, you can ask your child to visit the school library to check if the books they need are available there. When the seniors graduate and have many school books that are no longer of any use to them, they either throw the books away or pass them to their juniors. A third option is that they bring the books back to school and leave them in the library for other students to use. The school library has two doors, go in by the one beside the toilet with the water cooler and walk straight to the back of the shelves where the windows are. There is a shelf at the back displaying a variety of subject books and Chinese dictionaries. These books are not owned by the school as they were left there by former students, not donated, so the subject books are all free to take, no scanning or checkout needed. When it's sec 1 orientation, I'm not sure if the library will be open, but if it is you can ask the staff if you can take the books. Me and my sister are leaving some books there for the future batches, so I hope this tip would help you save some money on school books. šŸ™‚
