Since yours is a son, it doesn't matter if a lot of girls are applying to NYPS, cos they will try to fit 50-50 boys and girls. My kids' class always have only about 1 or 2 girls more than boys.

Not sure whether being in the HA-GEP mixed class is a good thing. They spent about 40% of their classes together except for EL, MA and SC. Do they have the \"陪太子读书\" feel?

I agreed with entei17 that it is very difficult to get into GEP, and once you are in, it is very difficult to get out too.

However dear entei17, there is no need for such label \"陪太子读书\"... it sounds that GEP kids are given preferential treatment in school and that is totally unfair to the geppers. My kids have good friends from both mainstream and GEP and no one is feeling like a 太子 or 书童。

meowmama, also consider the case if the WL is not converted to CO, you will be posted to your CO school if u have indicated it as a 2nd choice, and yet your kid’s score is actually good enough to apply for WL school via S1 posting, then you may feel very wasted.
