Hi, always note that the difference in age never change. Therefore,

2u = 16
1u = 8 (son's current)

A few years ago,

4u = 16
1u = 4 (son's then age)

This will be 8 - 4 = 4 years ago.

Assume that all 1000 parcel are transported safely, Mr J would pay $15,000. the shortage of $780 was due to damage parcel.

1 safe parcel exchange for 1 damage parcel, he \"save\" $65. Hence, $780 / $65 = 12.

Because there's no other words in the sentence which suggest a past tense. Unlike in the previous question where 'reached' suggests us to use past tense.

Hi, normally i told students to eliminate first.
Option 4 will be eliminated -- was starting instead of was started.
Option 3 will then be eliminated -- question is in past tense ( reached )
Option 2 is also eliminated -- has is not past tense.

so answer would be option 1.
