Hi. Would like to get feedback on 江老师教学中心 and 汪老师学园 on their secondary school HCL classes. Did yr teenager find the lessons engaging and useful?

Beside these 2, any tuition centres to recommend? Prefer small group tuition. I’m staying in the east. Thks.
Just heard that a friend's kid got offered a place in NUS within two days of application too. She applied for Science faculty. The ones I've heard of are FASS and Science faculties so far. Any other faculties made offers already?

      Well said, Jntegration and Augmum.

My DD1 has wonderful friends in Dunman High. They study hard n play hard together. I see them bloom into young ladies mentally, emotionally and physically. They even revise and help one another during this EOY. All the best to Dunmanians!
I agree 🙂 . DD is graduating this yr and DS will join DHS next yr!

    • RE: Q&A - PSLE Math

      Alchemist:
Sorry - Ender - still a little unclear. If the gap when the ball comes into contact is 7/2 - then should it not be 38-7. I can't understand why it's 38-7-7.

      Thanks
Hi - would appreciate if some one could help me with this maths sum.

      http://i57.tinypic.com/e7b6t0.jpg\">

The question is : Figure 1 is formed by rectangular box measuring 38 cm by 15 cm. Two identical white balls are fixed to the box at a point. Ball A, which is the same size as the 2 identical white balls, rolls anti clockwise along the sides of Figure 1 as shown in Figure 2. Find the distance ball A has rolled along figure 1 when it returns to it original position.

Please note that I have edited the solution.

When ball A comes into contact with the white ball, there is a gap of 7/2 cm (radius) which I forgot to account for.

      38 - 7 - 7 = 24

      24 x 2 + 15 x 2 = 78 cm

      3.14 x 7 = 21.98 cm

      78 + 21.98 = 99.98 cm
Hope the below diagram helps. Distance not covered should also include the two radius of 3.5cm. So it is 38-7-7.

Sharing here. Called the DHS office. Lady told me all the confirmation email is out.

Very strange. I called DHS at 4:40pm, a lady who first answered told me all CO sent out but when I asked further, she passed me to another lady. This one told me they are sending out CO in batches. Some will be tomorrow.

      Wonder who telling the truth?

I rec'd the email at 5:23 pm. By tomorrow if still ve not received can conclude that it's not successful because we need to reply whether we will attend the tea session on Monday.
