    • RE: 2010 PSLE Mathematics

Same here. DS spent lots of time on Maths and yet it's easy... 😞 Does it imply that one is unlikely to get A* if he does not get close to 100 marks for Maths?[/quote]

    • RE: Coping with PSLE for parents

Hi INNOVATE, any idea if we can gage the T-score from their prelim results and any idea what is the rough T-score for a pupil who score 3 As (say 83marks) for EMS & 1 low A (say 75marks) for MT?

    • RE: Coping with PSLE for parents

So it should be more difficult to obtain a high aggregate if there are more pupils attaining quality passes right? For MT if there are 80~81.2% of the cohort attained quality passes then why is tat reasonable grade for MT is sufficient for 250 & above T-score?

    • RE: Coping with PSLE for parents

Hi INNOVATE, please pardon my ignorance. Can you please explain how do I read the followings :

      English A/A* 43-44.5%

      MT A/A* 80-81.2%

      Maths A/A* 43.5-45%

      Science A/A* 43-44.7%

Does it mean the % of students getting A/A* is 80~81.2% of the cohort? :?

    • RE: Coping with PSLE for parents

My ds is the one who asked for xtra lessons for Maths & Sci. I asked him if the xtra lessons will make him more stressful or will it boost up his confidence? He says as he is targeting on these 2 subj, the xtra lessons will boost up his confidence. On the other hand, the free tuition from my relative for his CL2 will further add on stress to him. So I decided to stop

the free tuition & insert 1 more session for his Maths & Sci.

As for chicken essence, he has been taking once a week since Jun. I'm still thinking if I shld increase to twice but I'm not very comfortable in changing his lifestyle at this critical moment. Afraid his body may not be able to take it.

He just told me tis morning that he woke up last night twice ard 1am & 3am. I'm also worried that he is too stressful but whenever I ask him to rest & relax, he will say this is the last week to zoom into his weak areas and he won't have a 2nd chance after the exam... Really heart pain to see him like this 😢 Spore education system is really cruel 😓

    • RE: Use of correction-tape allowed in PSLE?

Hi, the kiasu student. If you already have the habit of crossing out neatly, do keep it up. Problem of not using correction tapes are for students who are so dependent on correction tapes like my boy...
