We went 2 years ago in mid October straight after my DS PSLE and spent 2 weeks in Orlando.


We started with 5D4N at Hard Rock Hotel and we bought 3 days Universal Studio tickets. On the 1st day we take it slow cos we are still adjusting to US timing. As the 2 Universal parks are very close to Hard Rock so we.just walk to the parks.

on the day when we shift over to WDW we rented a car cos WDW is very very big. Even though WDW have public transport, we felt happy that we hv a car as we really hv the flexibility to move ard WDW as well as well international Drive or Factory Outlets.

At WDW we stayed at Arts of Animations-Car Suite for 8D7N and we bought the 7days tickets with park hopper. The Arts of Animations is a very new hotel when we went 2 years ago. Every suite has 2 toilets and a kitchenette. My DS really loves his bed, the hotel and the surrounding deco. My regret is not booking the hotel earlier and so we missed out the Nemo Suites which is our 1st choice.

Hi the biggest will definitely be World Disney World (WDW) @ Orlando in Florida as it has 4 major theme parks:
1. Magic Kingdom (this is equivalent to Disneyland if you compare to Tokyo or USA Anaheim)
2. Epcot Center
3. Animal Kingdom
4. Disney Hollywood Studio

On top of these 4 theme parks, Disney also has 2 water parks ( Typhoon Lagoon & Blizzard Beach) and also has 2 miniature golf (Fantasia Garden & Winter Summerland). Downtown Disney is another place that has food as well as shopping.

Besides WDW (ie the Disney side), you can also go Universal Studio which has 2 theme parks. There are many others theme park too like SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Kennedy Space Center etc....

If you also likes shopping there are 2 big factory outlets there

The one at Anaheim California only has 2 theme parks:
1. Disneyland
2. California Adventure Park

My family were at Safra Tampines yesterday and noted that there is a shooting range newly opened. It is called Denker Sports World Shooting.


We can pay to shoot there per hourly. We understand from the coaches that they have private shooting classes and also there is a DSA trial class that they are organising for P4 and above during this Mar school holiday.

I think it is good that there is a shooting range in the east. If only I had known more about shooting and that it can be used to DSA and also if my child is still in primary school. My family will consider paying to play those per hour basis.

Its really torturous waiting for the appeal results. Every second seems like an hour. I know every school is a good school and a good student can thrive in any environment. How I wish my heart n mind can go together.My mind asks for my dd to settle in the posted school but my heart wishes for the appeal to go through....All 3 schls are asking to wait till nxt wk n now have to wait for the wknd to trickle past......arrghh!!...

I called this morning and went to the school this afternoon. Same reply, no vacancy. My girl scored 231 and Dunman is her second choice.

I am still waiting for my DD's appeal. But the school she posted will start their timetable next Monday. So should I buy the books? Or just hang on for another week? :? :?[/quote]I am also still waiting for ds appeal. We intend to give ourselves another week of waiting till maybe end of next week.

In the meantime, we have bought the textbooks as well as uniform for ds so that he will not be the odd one out and when the posted sch starts teaching he can at least follow. I think some of the textbooks are common so maybe you might want to consider buying the textbooks.

Just to share - my DD was also offered a place by her 2nd choice. Her 1st choice offered on 31 Jan late afternoon. When we reported to our 1st choice, the teacher we met says musical chair still on-going.
