The kindy that my kids went to, do not allow parents to bring goodie bags or celebrate in school. They do not want kids to compare who got bigger nicer cakes, what’s in the goodie bag.


Instead, the teacher will bring out a wooden cake, whole class will sing to the kid in 3 languages and the kid will "cut" the cake in class. Sometimes, teacher will give a small eraser to the birthday kid. They are equally thrilled with these small ways.

Basic drinks like tea coffee dispenser drinks are included If u want soft drinks or alcoholic then u need to get the drinks package. Don’t recall having mineral water in the room but we will jus top up our water bottles at any of the restaurants. Snacks I think can bring which we didn’t as already eating non stop on board. Btw they provide room services as well but take note at certain timings there will be charges. (After midnight) so u can just ordered food and have them send to your cabin. Pls check again as I was there 2 yrs ago n there might b changes


Rock climbing cant register online. It’s quite crowded so must q. Ice skating is another super long q. Go watch the ice skating n magician show it’s very good! Do register your kids in kids clubs once u onboard. There will be daily kids in program in your cabin, so u can see which programs your kids are interested in and bring them during the time stated.

During your time onboard, they will go around and take a lot of pictures for u. Since we already have the intention to buy these pictures, I bought my kids to their various "studios" to have our family shoots taken. On the last night, we bought the CD with all our pictures in it.

Previously they only allow booking 2 months ahead of cruise. When is your cruise? Could be they have not open up the registration? Indeed they did not inform such things beforehand, I was also exploring around & found that. U can try emailing them, they were quite prompt in answering. Hope it helps.

u can go to their website, members login. Go under manage your bookings to made advance reservations. Don’t wait until u get on board as its very fast filled up.

Went the year before. Must book early for the DreamWorks characters breakfast. It used to be free but think now they charge a norminal fee. They have very limited slots so once open for booking, be quick. Kids can mingle with the characters.

Agree that not all libraries have good children’s section. My personal favourites are Geylang East & Marine Parade.

Can someone tell me if I should buy down or padded jacket for my LO age 4. I've checked the temperature on Nov was abut 20 - 25 degree in Cingjing. Not sure the temp on Taipei... Is it as cold as in Cingjing?

Was thinking to just get fleece jackets as Taipei wont be as cold as CJ. I am also going in Nov. But then was told if going to view sunrise at he huan shan.. that would be really cold. So also blur now haha
