1st day of school’s impression, many students hung around void deck of blk 407’s mini mart waiting for friends I guess. Male teachers went outside the school chasing them to move into the sch for assembly. Quite a number of students late and they seems to be in the upper secondary students.

PSLE 3subects and 4subjects
Currently, Singaporeans (4) and foreigners (3) took different no. of subjects during PSLE, but ultimately converted to agg. scores. Is it showing true abilities of the type of pupils? (Agg scores are their entry to secondary schools)

RE: Posting process vs Selection
Prioritize selection with affiliated school e.g CJC, is it wise to try the following?
Pupil A score only 226, choices below;
1. Hai Sing Catholic 224-241 (with affiliated to CJC)
2. CHIJ Katong Convent 225-243 (with affiliated to CJC)
3. St Anthony Canossian 220-236 (with affiliated to CJC)
4. Pasir Ris 220-236
5. Bedok View 218-234
6. Bedok South 211-230 -
RE: Posting process vs Selection
If Pupil A T-score 230, chosen the near min agg of that school say 232, then, does that mean if got in, he will likely to be in the last class?

RE: Posting process vs Selection
tough to choose, how we know T-score 230 is good enough? Based on last year agg., may not be accurate for this year. If there are many pupil scored >230 to say 236, choosing Pasir Ris secondary, then this Pupil A may not even get in if there are no vacancy left, right?

RE: Posting process vs Selection
So it is like higher T-score pupil fighting for places first, then follow by lower T-score pupil. But if PupilA places all 6 choices for good schools for fighting a place, it is very risky for him, he may not get into any of the 6 choices. So it is wise to use 1st or 2nd choice to try for a higher/better school and the rest of the choices, choose those that his T-score can sure get into the that school?

RE: Posting process vs Selection
Thank you, understood the moe part.
My senecio will occurr.
For the the case, it is better for pupil A to select better schools for the first four choices. Anyway if he cannot get it, he stands better chance at the 5th. Then, pupil B still stands lower chance. If pupil A fails to get in the first four choice and falls to 5th choice, then pupil B will not be able to get his first choice.
Is my understanding right? -
Posting process vs Selection
MOE website Posting Process quoted
"Pupils are posted to secondary schools based on merit first according to their PSLE aggregate scores rounded to the nearest whole number. A pupil with better rounded aggregate score will be considered for admission first, subject to the availability of vacancies in the selected school. If there is no more vacancy, then the pupil will be considered for his/her next choice school(s).
Pupils with the same rounded aggregate score vying for the last place in a school will be posted based on their unrounded aggregate scores, followed by citizenship. The posting of candidates with the same citizenship will be determined by a computerised ballot where each candidate is given an equal opportunity."
So, pupil A with T-sore 230 choosing Pasir Ris Secondary (min 220 max 236) as 5th choice. Comparing to pupil B with T-score with 221 and choosing as 1st choice. Which pupil can into the school if left the last vacancy?
