    • RE: The Alternative Story (TAS) - Discussion

      Hi TAS,

I agree with hquek, all the best for finding a good location!! For myself, I do not mind even if you are still in yishun. But I would also like you to know in case you are wondering if moving to amk is a good idea in the light of your yishun customers, I think if your location is near amk mrt, then it should be very good even for yishun kids as it is near the mrt and very convenient. Hoping you would really be able to find a centre at the amk hub area. And thank you for keeping us in the loop so we can also plan accordingly. :celebrate:

    • RE: Any Magazine that is useful for sci info?

      Blobbi:
Lately, we started a subscription to this magazine called Current Science. It's distributed by Nurturecraft. I can't seem to find it on their website. Maybe you can call to ask (hopefully they're not going stop the service :o).

My son is also another science nut, so I was glad to find this one. We saw it at the Book Fair earlier this year and he asked for it. Seems to like it every month, together with his Young Scientist, Discovery Box etc. Reading level is higher - supposedly for lower secondary school students but I think primary school kids can hack it.

FWIW, DH has been a long time subscriber to Nat Geo but my son doesn't like it, probably cos he still catch no ball on that one!
      Hi Blobbi,

How is Discovery Box compared to Nat Geo, thinking of getting a sci mag for my kid who is 7.

    • RE: All About English Creative Writing

      Hi TAS,

I have heard a lot about you from various people- my sister-in-law and ex-colleague. They highly recommend your centre for English. I live in Bishan and am thinking of sending my child to your Yishun centre. I would like to ask some questions first. Do you offer trial lessons and also do you allow parents to look at your materials before joining? I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but hope you can help or if any parents know the details to what I asked, I would really appreciate if you could help too, thank you. šŸ˜‰

    • RE: Comparing Chinese Enrichment (Primary/Preschool)

      babynicole:
Re Jiang program, I was not able to comment for the P2s as my gal was only with them for K2 and P1. However, their 3hrs course is really a success. To some, it may be simply drilling, but the hard fact is, the result showed. However, I stopped when she was in end P1 cos really tired of waiting there for her for 3 hours, plus like all others, I thought other centres could do an equally good job.

I am giving TH a final try before enrolling her back to Jiang next year, if necessary. As some of you may know, my gal is currently in Poi Ching. Their Chinese standard is really very high. My gal has been constantly scoring almost full marks when attempting the other top school papers or in her enrichment centre but when doing her mock school exam last week, scored a terribly border-line mark 😢
      Hi babynicole,

Can a P1 kid sit through a 3 hour session? By the way, where is Jiang located exactly at Rochor?
