We are a stone throw away from whitley sec and logically that is a ideal choice however we are discourage by so many surrounding friends, resident to consider them. Would like to hear your feedback (if any) on why everyone is avoiding whitley? :sick:
Base on my DS results @ 195, we've somehow decided the below choices, would love to hear your feedback on our selection.
1 Pierce Sec - express 212-230 * 17 points gap
2 Bishan Park - express 188-239
3 Whitley - express 188 - 245
4 Guang Yang express - 197 -225 * 2 points gap
5 NA
6 NA
For 5 & 6 we will just fill in any:)
We've spoken to the principle from Pierce but she don't think my DS will qualify base on his score. *Option is to take up Normal :faint:
As for Bishan Park, its just a decent schools with very committed teachers & PSG. Spoken to most of them and students too.
Sneak in Whitley, only manage to speak to admin staff. Not much information being shared with us.
Guang Yang- errrr all of us don't feel good the moment we steps in. Its probably us so no offence to current GY peers
We are still thinking hard should we go for normal and opt for pierce or stay on with express and hope for the best???
DS wanted pierce badly as lot's of his ex sch mates from Cat high are flooding there.

best if can get into Pierce cos it's
very impt to hv emotional support from peers from CHPS. but its COP seems quite high, unless you're willing to let kid go to NA, so it's like giving sonny 1 extra yr to do his O's -> less pressure?
Also, Peirce's got no historical baggage compared to Whitley which was founded in the 60s so over the years, there's a 'reputation' built already. Achievements of Peirce are very impressive. θΏζ±θ

But u staying next to Whitley should know the demographics better than any of your friends and neighbours, no? Perhaps it's a blessing that it's that near to your home? Ur son cannot loiter too long after sch hrs; even if he does, you can go to sch to 'catch' him back
He can also come home to take his lunch before the afternoon remedials, invite his classmates to your home so you can see whom he is mixing around with??
Guangyang seems to be suitable but u dun like... Otherwise, you hv to look at AMK schs liao, e.g. Deyi Sec but COP higher than 200 too. ACS Baker might be risky though COP below 200. SJI got NA stream?[/quote]Thanks for the input:)
