Just want to ask about Situational Writing. What are the types that will typically come out for PSLE? Email, reports, letters? Additionally, are there any techniques for teaching vocab? Because there are 10 questions in all (5 for MCQs and the other 5 for short passage).

I saw from the PSLE student booklet that the results will be released somewhere between 24th to 28th Nov (Monday).

As I have already booked my airtickets for 27th Nov, should I made any changes to my itinerary (and incur a penalty cost)? I would prefer to collect the results personally. What are the chances the results will be release on 28th Nov?

Very very slim. As per below from 2003, the Release date has been on or before Nov 26th.

I heard FT will be the same. Heard G Class teacher is relax mode, no homework type. Wonder the kids able to catch up or not. H class teacher is abit strict. Good and bad.

My son is in 4G this year. I find the FT not bad. He is approachable and prompt in answering the parents questions. Can also tell he makes an effort to help the students in his class too.

May I know where can I get the assessment/guidebooks for Situational Writing for my kid? I only managed to find 1 at Popular (Longman Publisher).

Additionally, are there any recommendations for the new Compo format assessment books? So far, those I found at Popular are still based on the old format.

How's the service and food?

Food - I like their food serve. Hot and yummy. With good variety. For long haul flight, you will be well fed

Service - attentive and also prompt in my requests (extra blanket etc)

I also like the goodie bags for the kids, and their online check in function.

So far, the flights I took had smooth landing.
