    • RE: Columbia Early Learning Centre

Hi mummies, finally I already visit both of e school. Havelock is good in environment definitely, a bit higher fees compared to jurong TT. Jurong TT too old in facilities, I think lessons plans are good, only bad things are those foods provided to children, they used cater foods which I really dislike, even that’s was certified. Behind the door, you cannot see what happen inside e kitchen. I knew some of e kitchen as only keep hygiene themselves while under e application of health board. I would rather prefer a place where the kitchen we can observe and see ourselves. Hence it’s totally out of my listed. I think as to be a successful preschool, child care centre, no doubt e academic should be focus, but must also take good care of e children’s health. …just share what I though when choosing good school…

Hi mummies, just like to share something here…I finally let my baby trying the little schoolhouse Int’l for only two weeks, and made me a bit disappointed. Although it’s the Spark award school. For toddlers class, I just felt that my boy learned at there in Zero knowledge, and less dedicated teachers. I would visit another centre name Columbia academy, which cost $1225@mth, full day care. Then see how. … Really like Artskid, but cannot try it now. A lot of Upset, still need to find a good school for my boy. For the YMCA, heard that not in good focus of academic preparation, also have not so professional teachers…etc…

      Hi Clarie79,

Moral CC,I passed by e school, and I saw all e teachers chat to each other n no one care while e children were playing in indoor playground, and was quite messy for the groud.
For Bambini, I talk to e principle, school I think too small for them, and not look like practices in full Montessori. But e lady was friendly enough. And e charges was $1,200 before subsidy, dun think worth it.
      Anyway, just my personal opinion…

But what I worried was my 19 mths boy was not toilet trained. Anyone has any idea how come e school only accept those toilet trained kids, coz other school mostly dun have this problem. And the website was outdated, I couldn't get e latest info of e school. How much school fees for e 18 mths above and N1? Anyone can reply, sincerely appreciate. :please:

    • RE: Shichida Right Brain Training - Discussion

Btw, I tried other enrichment classes other than shichida method during his halfway rest time. Then I found that almost no ONE can compare with shichida that usefulness in every minutes of e class that my boy attended. No choice need to wait for available class…hence, I will support shichida from now here on until my boy turn older as ten. Haha! Anyone have any idea regarding this method? Coz I quite new around this forum.

      Hi mummies,

My 19 mths boy also attended e class about 6mths, but recently rest at half-way side due to other issue…so far since I let him join e class, I almost flash everyday, however not practice in other activities. As dot flash card, I think was still too hard to get him full attention on it, it made me frustrated. Any mummies have any good advice on Dot cards?

      Hi Stardust25,

I already visit Halifax rd recently, and think that’s below the standard concern on teacher( mostly from China), environment, safety issue compare to Pat house and CHilton. But the Montessori way they teach, after my observed, I think children quite understandable for the age of 18 mths. Just personally dun like e director of school, 100% not friendly, and the high percentage of China’s teacher. I really dun like my kid speak Mandarin in China way.
I haven’t decide my boy’s school, and he already 19 mths…really made upset for myself…
      Hi Tiggermummy,
U mentioned e menu right, I also think that’s not nutrition enough to the children. Did u feedback to them about changing menu or cook by yourself?
