Hard time getting school bus. Tok bus request 1st stop @ 545am for primary class 2D. I am here looking if any parents want to taxi pool. 3 more kids around Upper Serangoon Cresent where I am staying. On the way to school also can. At least our kids dont have to wake up so early. I am expecting $200 per kid per month. Return timing if same class the best due cca. Higher price as you know convenient timing. Pls call me if anyone keen. 87815502 Derrick Teo. Thanks.

545am?!

For easier logistics, you might want to try own arrangement to school but school bus for returning to home.

School bus company quoted $180-190. Bus aims to arrive school at 7am.

Pick up time is so early as result.
I was quoted $160 and pick up at 610am :scared:
Was told that some kids pick up at 555am :yikes:

Was at admin day in Yangzheng yesterday, all well run and was a little disappointed that the uniform vendor wasnt there...

but the major horrors was school bus not sure of service to Potong Pasir/ Pheng Geck area! :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

They say that they will monitor requirements. Please send your request to the bus company http://www.tsbs.com.sg/ and hopefully we will have enough students :xedfingers: πŸ™ πŸ™

Can do ice-skating party too. You can engage a trainer for 30min and let the kids have free play for 1 hour then birthday cake and party in their function room. had ours at Kallang and ordered pizza from pasta mania downstairs πŸ™‚

Another option is pasta or pizza making classes at pasta mania or spizza

parents who have girls in this sch.... can share the pro and con of this sch?

i am thinking of enrolling my girl here.
DD1 graduated in 2014 and went on to ZHSS, DD2 is in P5.

Both girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves and blossomed in the school, especially DD1 who was very quiet and soft spoken when she first started school and was awarded Chief Commissioner badge and Eagles Award at P6.

There are camps and activities almost every year to nudge the girls out of their (and their parents'! πŸ˜‚ ) comfort zones. e.g. they have a pj party for P1 where they stay in school till 9 or 10pm in their PJs to train their independence (and learn how to make a bed). :boogie:

Academic wise they are improving year by year and doing better than national averages, especially for quality passes.

I was heartbroken when I had to enroll DD3 into YangZheng cos we had moved and logistics became a challenge for DD3 to go to CHIL OLN.

The only uncertainty is Ms. Saw is nearing retirement age and the school may see a change in Principal within 1-2 years?
Good day;

Any idea for a monthly cost of daily 2way trip (from amk central); school bus fare..will be how much? any deposit involved? any differents between a big and min-bus( number of students per bus/ the $$$?
Do advise..
:thankyou:

My friend says it was $170 in 2014, from AMK hub vicinity to OLN.
She has moved nearer the school this year, so only can help to provide the 2014 price.
Prob higher in 2016.
From school to potong pasir in 2014 was $170 even though only 1 way per day. No discount or only $10 discount between 2 ways and 1 way cos they say have to cater the seat for your child even only 1 way.

Additional $10 per trip for after school CCA pick up at 4pm :frustrated: With 2 kids in the same CCA was $20, cheaper to take cab to pick them up and cab back. :slapshead:

In the end my P6 and P4 took public transport with family member pick up at destination bus stop.

PS. dont forget you have to pay Jun fees with Jan, and Dec fees with Jul.

Thank you reddiechan and magiccastle for your comments!

My elder 2 were/ are in CHIJ OLN (Sec 1 and P5 now) but we’ve moved from Sengkang to potong pasir hence the change of school for the youngest, and the nerve racking Phase 2C registration!

I mainly chose schools that I felt were strong in character building and a good environment, which is more important to me at Primary level cos that’s future-proof.

Looking forward to DD joining Yangzheng and being part of the family of the 110 year old school!
