My child is P4 now. I am happy with the way the school has nurtured my child and provided a happy environment. She looks forward to coming to school and always has happy stories to share about her teachers and friends. She is a Prefect and recently led the school in pledge-taking. It was a proud moment for both of us. The school not only pays attention to the academics, she also learns other things like ukulele, drumming and chess. I have no regrets putting my child in LPS.

Quote "meeko" - Not sure if it’s true, but the lady principal of Loyang was previously from RGPS? Noticed that from the security guard to the kids and kids’ parents, everyone there seemed to love the school. Must say that school spirit there is strong.

I’m sure the more popular schools like pasir ris and WSPS must be "hot" for a good reason, but I think that aside from reputation, the actual "feel" of the school is important too. I think we fell within the 1-2km radius for Loyang. But since the whole family felt the same and my kid had his heart set on LPS, we would’ve fought to get in anyway. Ironically, it’s a lucky thing it seems to be one of the less popular ones. Lol.

Yes, the Principal was formerly HOD / GEP and VP of RGPS. You may want to refer to the school’s Facebook page to ‘experience’ the vibrancy of the school. Today, the school had their Hari Raya celebration and the Principal gave a welcome address in Malay! What a sporty lady! The atmosphere was really fantastic!

Many are telling me that Loyang Primary school is one of the better one in Pasir Ris. All three CCAs options are quite similar, and they do not have much of academic achievements in 2013. But why is take up rate is lower than Whitesands Primary and Pasir Ris Primary. Any insights about whitesands and Pasir Ris over Loyang?

I am an active parent support group member of Loyang Primary School. My child and niece enjoy the school programme. I am surprised to read your claim that they do not have academic achievement in 2013.
Early this year, the school shared their PSLE 2013 results with some parent support group members, they have good academic track records with 100% passes for standard course pupils for consecutive 9 years. All quantity passes above national. They are strong in Mathematics and all 3 Mother Tongue Languages.
Their PSLE aggregate score and eligibility to express stream are on par with Pasir Ris Primary and White Sand Primary, definitely better than Casuarina Primary.
Recently, the school has been recognised and awarded with funding for their Applied Learning Programme and Learning for Life Programme. The only school I know of in Pasir Ris area with ALP and LLP.
It is a small and mighty school, caring and loving environment.

My son was not successful in whitesands' balloting this morning. Feeling a bit lost now while trying to gather more info abt other options. Can anyone share if Loyang is a school that is worth considering?

      Hi
My girl has been there for 2 years and she enjoys going to LPS. The sch has a start right program which i find it very good ( my girl will not be hesitant to go to sch after the term break). The p/vp/ teachers there are friendly n helpful. I'm also a parent in education there. no regrets sending her there.

You may contact the general office at 65821449 for a tour n further info...
