Now that there’s no score, 2 people can get 4As, however the first gets all 75 s while the other gets all 90s…they’re still banded together as 4As. When there’s a score…at least we still can tell the difference between 2 people who score the same grades. Now it will be harder to get into a good school because many people with similar grades will want to go there too…

The PSLE T score is a queue system that has worked well for many years... Wonder why MOE decide to give that up for the banded system.... It will sure create more unhappiness like many people mentioned here about the COP criteria being blurred now.....

Nanyang girls high take in a lot of her own affliated Nyps girls, at cop 250.

Plus those accepted dsa earlier on.

For sec 1 classes at nygh -
Many seats would already had been taken up by Nyps girls coming in at the lowest cop, 250.
Thus For the remaining limited balanced seats left -
nygh will need to take in outsiders, with very high cop.

In contrast,
raffles girls secondary only take in (top Psle + dsa ) students - from all neighborhood students in Singapore.
Nobody enter rgss, at cop 250 (Except for a few who accepted dsa)
For non-dsa -
the lowest cop admitted this year is 259.

Between these 2 schools, actually the top school is rgs secondary.
For non-dsa,
The difference between 259 (lowest entry point admission for rgs ) and 250
(lowest entry point for affliated Nyps girls) is a lot . Difference of 9 points is huge.

They mentioned '为了' which suggests that the answer is 2.
