RE: 2016 PSLE Results & Secondary Posting Discussions
I have a qn on school posting, wonder whether anyone can help.
If Child A and Child B have the same t-score and the t-score is the cut-off for School X, which left with one vacancy. If Child A choose School X as 2nd choice (she did not get into 1st choice) and Child B choose School X as 1st choice, will the ranking of the choice affect the chance of Child A getting into School X? Or it will be base on balloting at this stage?
Thanks -

RE: Help! Anyone has Chinese Textbook 2B (Rev Ed)?
phtthp:
I didn't know tt the teachers in sch asked the kids to keep their Chinese textbooks all the way to P6. I thot by the time they reach P6, P2-P4 stuff shld be chicken feet to them (I hope so, haha)
You will still need to keep this P2 Chinese Textbook 2A, 2B, all the way, to P6.
Thanks for telling me, will do that. -

Hi young
While it is best if u can get free used copy of the book, u may want to consider if it is really worth the effort to buy 2nd hand ones. ( after factoring in the time/transport cost to/from yr place to the store/seller.) If I remember correctly, new CL textbook costs about $2 plus from school bkshop/popular. JMHO.phtthp:
Thanks, Mummies, for ur advice and info. I m just giving it a try and see whether there r any used ones available coz its very wasteful to buy new one as it cannot be passed on anymore. U hv a point tt eventually it might not worth the money and time putting into collecting the book. Btw, my child need the normal Chinese textbook, not higher Chinese, but I think they shld be same price. Thanks for ur effort in finding the info for meP2 Higher Chinese 2B textbook, brand new : costs $2.70, from school bookshop

Hi Mummies,
Thanks for the suggestion, actually already asked a few pple to borrow, but they never come back to me
This yr will be last yr for this old syllabus, buy new textbook is really wasting money, coz cannot be used anymore once this yr is over.
I m trying to search other forums, see whether anyone selling. -

Do you want to try the 2nd hand bookshops at Bras Basah? The one on first floor, corner (nearest to NLB) - I think it's called Evernew. They should have many textbooks and I find their prices are fairly cheap.

Hi,Young:
My child lost her Chinese textbook 2B, but this yr left with abt 2.5 mths only
Moreover, P1 has new syllabus this yr, if i buy a new textbook for her, it can only be used for 2.5 mth, and cannot be passed on to younger siblings. Anyone with a Chinese textbook 2B (normal Chinese) available at home and not used? Can sell to me or lend it to me for 2.5 mths until yr end exam over? Please PM me if u have one for sale or loan. Thanks.
