Only realised there is Steinway relocation sale this afternoon and today is the last day of the sales period. We rushed down and bought a Essex 123PE at $9600. This is more like an impulsive purchase just to take advantage of the promotion. In fact, we only started looking for a piano yesterday. My son is turning 6 and has learnt piano for almost one year and will have his grade 1 test next week. His teacher told us he will need a piano for his grade two and onwards. We only visited Yamaha and Cristofori yesterday and quite attracted by Yamaha U1. Now feel a bit uneasy and don’t know whether we have made the right decision.

RE: Keming Primary
Hihi, manage to get a place for phase 2c.

:congrats:
Does it mean there is no ballot needed for SC who stays within 1km for Keming? -
RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
South View Psle results academic standard better than Princess Elizabeth.
Stay put at South View.
Do not come out.
Hi Phtthp,
That is what we have heard too. Do you have datas of PSLE results of both Southview and PEPS for the past a few years? Keen to find out how big is the difference in academic standard in these two schools so as to judge whether it is worth the traveling. School bus fares aside, we are more concerned with the time spent on travelling to and from Southview and my child may need to get up very early once he reaches P3 to catch the school bus in the morning and hence get very tired as a few parents have mentioned.
Thank you!
Btw, we are more interested in how many students have hit the benchmark, eg, how many have scored more than 250, the passing rate of the schools vs national average, rather than the top score of the schools. Thanks again. -

Princess Elizabeth already oversubscribed for 2C and will go balloting. How much risk would u want to take if u fail in ballot you cannot go back South View also…
We are definitely not risk takers. Only heard St Anthony is oversubscribed by SC within 1km in phase 2c so far. -
RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
Hi Chief Kiasu,
Thank you very much for your reply.
The reason why I hesitate is because if I take PEPS, logistic wise, it is the most convenient for us. But I also heard South View is better academic wise. I also heard South view is a quite disciplined school and gives students a lot of home works and a lot of remedial lessons. My son is a very playful boy, so I am a bit worried, if he goes to South view, he will feel quite stressful.
Wish we could know more about these two schools so that we can make a better decision. -
RE: 2014 P1 Registration Exercise for 2015 In-Take
Hi all,
I am also in a dilemma.
I registered my child for south view primary under phase 2a. I stay in Bukit batok central. If my child goes to south view, most likely my child will take school bus.
Princess Elizabeth primary is within 1km from my home, and there is a high chance we can get in during phase 2c, as SC within 1km.
So now I am really headache whether we should withdraw from south view and register my child for princess Elizabeth tomorrow.
Any reviews or feedbacks regarding these two schools, guys? Any suggestions or opinions are welcome!
Thanks in advance!
