RE: Dunman Secondary School
Hi~ my child put this school as one of his choice for S1 posting. May I know if there is any chance to have HMT if not offered based on PSLE. I know some schools based on Sec one SA2 CL result, some schools gave entry exam. How about Dunman secondary school?

Thank you very much for your kind feedback! I am a little bit surprised to know the test is before they start Sec one. My kid may forget his CL during the holiday:P
Yes, when they first started in January there will be a test conducted by the Chinese department. If ur child meets the criteria he/she can take HCL. Only those with CL A* or HCL merit needs not go thru the hassle. -
RE: Tanjong Katong Secondary School
My child put 1st choice as TKSS. May I Know if there is any chance to be offered HMT if the PSLE score is not qualified HMT condition? Like based Sec one year end exam result?

Yes, it is true. No matter how you combine, maximum 4 points can be used.
Can I clarify something, for jc affiliation bonus point, only a maximum of 4 bonus to be used is it? Initially I thought was HMT 2 bonus point , cca 2 bonus point, affiliated sch 2 bonus point = total of 6 bonus point.
But my friend told me only a maximum of 4 point can be used, is that true?? -

Yes will still be posted to express. However, if the cop of all your 6 choices are higher than your child's score, then MOE will allocate your child to any available school with Express course.
Zen helena\" post_id=\"1948648\" time=\"1574573447\" user_id=\"106561:
Just can not remember which post mentioned better to have the last choice more buffer for T score. Actually I didn’t. My son was one of Those expected 25* or at least 24*, in the end got 23*. If give more buffer like last year 225, there are not many choices near. Just curious if fail all 6, express still can be posted to express course l, isn’t it?

The last choice, you may have to go as low as the 220s to be safe.
use 2018 & 2019 cop as referenceMyPillow\" post_id=\"1947800\" time=\"1574391947\" user_id=\"70594:
Very struggling on which school to choose with Boy’s 233. I plan to move house. So location doesn’t matter. Any suggestions?
u will find some sch COP diff is as high as 5 to 6 pts
but 2018 cop is more norm like previous yrs
dunno what happen in 2019 ( many feel it is easier n more managebale papers, means more avg /slight abv avg kids score well n push up cop)
Maybe :
first two choices - as wish sch ( 233 , 234, 235 )
next 4 choices as releasitc choices ( 233, 231.230
Frankly, any of the 230s school would be good for the child. While none of them are probably “branded”, they are also not weak / poor schools.
I want to put one or two 22x school to keep safe... very struggling don’t know which to choose. So big gap. Gan Eng Sen in my generation was a good school... considering... -
