      Here is the other qn. thanks. http://i45.tinypic.com/280uu8h.jpg\">

      The correct answer is 3. The water loss for F and G are lower, hence their leaves are coated with oil, so transpiration (loss of water through stomata) could hardly take place.

      Hi, need help on 2 qns attached. Both my ans are 3 but both ans given are 2. Thanks.

      The correct answer is 3. The bulbs in Circuit A are arranged in series, so more current is drawn from the batteries. Hence the life span of the batteries in Circuit A is shorter than that in Circuit B.

      The answer key 2 is correct.

      The purpose of the wire gauze is to keep the ice at the bottom of the test tube. (Wire gauze is a good conductor of heat).

      The experiment basically shows that water is a poor conductor of heat. [Note: Water is a good conductor of electricity. Normally a good conductor of heat is also a good conductor of electricity.]

      how to do this qsn? my answer is 16 but answer key says 15. is it right? http://i50.tinypic.com/21cz5eh.jpg\">

      Monday to Friday ---> 3 x 5 = 15

      Saturday to Sunday ---> 6 x 2 = 12

      15 + 12 = 27

      60/27 = 2 weeks remainder $6 ---> Start saving on Sat or Sun to get the least number of days --- 1 day

      7 + 7 + 1 = 15

      The least number of days is 15.

      Pls help with the following question.

      Min had 3 times as many beads as Ahmad. Min packed all her beads equally into 42 boxes while Ahmad packed all his beads into 56 bags. There are 93 more beads in each box than in each bag. How many beads did min and Ahmad have in total?

      Tia :thankyou: šŸ˜„
      A - 1 u ---> 56 Bags

      1 Box ---> 1 Bag + 93

      M - 3 u ---> 42 Boxes = 42 x (1 Bag + 93)
      = 42 Bags + 3906

      42 Bags + 3906 ---> 3 x 56 Bags
      126 Bags ---> 3906

      56 Bags ---> 3906/126 x 56 = 1736

      4 u ---> 1736 x 4 = 6944

      Min and Ahmad had 6944 beads in total.

      Appreciate any help on this qn (RGS SA1 2012) : http://i49.tinypic.com/i1invc.jpg\">

      180 - 37 - 12 - 25 = 106 --- Angle URT

      180 - 106 - 37 = 37 --- Angle USR

      RU = RS since Angle RUS = Angle URS [Isosceles triangle]

      Since RU = QR, ARU is also an isosceles triangle

      106/2 = 53

      Angle UQR is 53 degree.

      Angelina and Smanatha took part in a cross country race. Angelina ran at a speed of 20 m/s. Both did not change their speed throughout the race. When Angelina covered 2/3 of the distance and Samantha covered 3/4 of the distance, they were 250m apart. what was Samantha's running speed?

      2/3 = 8/12

      3/4 = 9/12

      8 u --> 20 m/s [As time is the same for both]

      9 u ---> 20/8 x 9 = 22.5 m/s

      Samantha's running speed was 22.5 m/s.

      Or

      2/3 = 8/12

      3/4 = 9/12

      9 - 8 = 1 u ---> 250 m

      8 u ---> 250 x 8 = 2000 m --- Distance of A

      9 u ---> 250 x 9 = 2250 m --- Distance of S

      2000/20 = 100 s --- Time of A to cover 2000 m

      2250/100 = 22.5 s

      Samantha's running speed was 22.5 m/s.

      Correction.There is no such thing as insulator of heat.This is a wrong usage of scientific words.Remember.Thus,there is only poor conductor of electricity.
      Cheers

      in my exam, i wrote '' since plastic is a poor conductor of electricity...'' and the teacher marked me wrong for that question. could u explain why? or is my teacher wrong?

      Hi
      It depends.You could post me the question.I would look at it and explain for you the wrong answer.

      this question part b. http://i49.tinypic.com/nl4imt.jpg\"> http://i47.tinypic.com/2i23n82.jpg\">[/quote]
