ACME, is good for competitive wise but it is pricey. Their program is too much and i do not personally prefer that. I chance upon this TKD club. At Ang Mo Kio, It used to be under Henderson CC and they actually produce good result too. I seen their training, they have enough coaches and the main coach is nice and patient. You can check it out! At S560134! Their training is on Friday, 7.30PM.

Indeed, My boy started with this coach back in early 2015, and progressively he has passed each grading and now working on brown tip. When he first started, there was a small group, but if you visit them on Friday's evening, the number of students has easily tripled. The main coach is nice and patient, and more importantly instil discipline to the students, which is more important. He has a number of assistance coaches, which are helpful as well.

• RE: School bus or public bus for Primary school pupils.

sagittaurius:
Anyone got got kids taking public bus at primary 3 and crossing the road? Can share how to train them?

I started my boy on public bus officially this year at P4. But from P3 onwards, we started some single day where he took bus, and of course he did made some silly mistake, ie taking the bus on the wrong side of the road, end up some place else.. but he did managed to find himself back to home. As for crossing road, I observed him while we walked on the street to markets, shopping mall etcs... and I will informed him if there is concern with safety, ie such as dashing across the road, or running to chase for buses.

I believe we can start from short distance, and we observed how they are doing during the journey and advise an ideal sitting position, ie next to bus captain, if he is unsure, so that he can check back with the bus captain.

hi,

need some advice.

does all CCAs accept P1 students? how do we join?

thks
I think the school will share during the Orientation... I find it weird though that they should be doing the orientation at the 'holding' site, rather than the current Bishan location, cos the layout will be different and I may not be able to relate well if my boy is having issue to locate specific places ie canteen, bookshop etc.
:scared: Can I check if anyone has the stats between 2A1 and 2A2 for aitong?

With only 83 places left for 2A2, not sure if aitong may need to ballot in P2A2. In fact, this year figure seems to be totally not in line with past few years, also don't know how to predict. :scared:

I was looking for that information, but not sure where to obtain that. So last year, I pay to join the Alumni in order to get 2A1. Relieve me of the stress.
The way I see, by phase 2B, Ai Tong will need ballot.

last year (2012) Ai Tong

phase 2A(1) : 60 registered

phase 2A(2) : 80 registered

refer :-
http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?p=801492

this year (2013) :-
Phase 2a(1) : 76 registered

83 seats left

http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=435&start=1520

if phase 2A(2) applicants exceed 83 on 16 July -
Ai Tong will ballot, under 2A(2).

Question :-
Will all entire 83 seats be used up for 2a(2) balloting, or will moe intervene in time -
To apportion some seats (out of 83) - for phase 2b and 2c ?
Interesting point. Will MOE apportion some vacancy for 2B and 2C? In doing so, 2A2 will need to go ballot. Was there any similar situation happened previously?

Oh cool, yes this is the form which seems not to clear or realize by many parents. Wondered why..

And now with the advise that maybe it is better to fill up the form provided by the school on the day of registration, we better not be too 'clever' to fill up the form in advance, hahaaa..

I will just fill up (using PDF editor), then print 5 copies to bring. LOL!

The copy issued by the school for you to fill up will be carbon copies (1 front/ 2 carbon copy), which one will be given to parent to record keeping. I will suggest you use that original forms given by the school administrators during your child registration. There is a column which the school adminstrators need to signed off, so I am not so sure you want them to sign off 5 individual copies...
