Hi,

Does any know which secondary schools are offering DSA for swimming or football? Is it true that one need to have competition and several awards before able to apply to these DSA? Can our child go for the trials test?

Thanks.

My impression on sports CCA is that they usually select those national or district? level good performers only.

That sounds like to be backed by some competitive awards. Alright thanks. I sort of guess on that.
For Nus high DSA application, first time applicant must apply a login password.

May I know what is that password for ? After we got the password, must we still
log into the system again to apply for Dsa (using this password) ? Tks.
😄

I believe further instructions and updates will be disseminated to the individuals via the system.

Sorry I can't remember the details, but I remember it's like a tracking system as well. You will be able to input your DSA info eg. CCAs, awards etc, save the draft for further editing. After all are finalized, submit your DSA application online. At every stage of the process, you will have to login to check your status eg. When DSA results are out ie. selected for 2nd round (half-day camp?)
For first time applicant, you need to provide the child's full name, DOB and Birth cert no to apply for the login password.
Then you will have to login again to fill in the details information/particulars and make payment.
This platform is also for you to check your application status and whether you are selected for the selection camp/offered a place at NUS high etc at a later stage.

For those who want to try DSA to Temasek JC IP , the open house is on 1 June from 10am to 2 pm.

2013 is the first intake of IP Sec 1. My dd is in the first batch.
Teachers are good and school environment is good. Most importantly, she is very happy with the school.
Parents , go for DSA ! Go for the open house.

You should visit the open house this year with your son. Some schools have their open house on the same day, the maximum is going to 2 schools in the same day. You can also use this opportunity to motivate your son. I did that with my gal last year, and we narrowed down to 2 schools this year.

For those "top" secondary schools (RGS, NYGH, NJC etc), what should be the range of marks a student should get if they choose to go through DSA through their academic results? What marks should they often be getting so they still "got chance"?

I would say above 85 average score and top 5% of whole level.
