Why can't she join a music cca then?

O yah! Which one is the most relaxed? No competition, the least tedious, the least attendance required? Logically band, choir, dance are busy ones. Do you know if the ones without SYF central judging are less demanding in sec school?

I made a big mistake putting my older kids in sports CCA. RI was ok, they accept club training, but the girls' school expects them to go for school training even though they train daily in clubs. Wah, really taking up a lot of time...

Too bad... i dunno. my kids are in performing arts and all rather demanding, but they enjoy it.

Altho' one of my boys was picked to learn an instrument and the school paid for a private instructor for him. Yup, no need to pay extra.

Yup, paid by taxpayers...the big fish like 2ppaamm....not from puny ones like me

Er, taxpayers? Well, I guess school does have the budget for it.

Consider it a form of \"baby bonus\", since we were not eligible for any for those kids. haa.

During competition months, she trains 9 hours with the states team daily, really have no time to go for school training. I know she will get lots of points for state representation, I just need a very easy CCA, which one har?

Also, if she does not take the CCA she represents country in, will they still give her the points?
Talk to the school! In her case, I believe she can be exempted from taking other CCA in school.

My girls primary school doing so for sports. Only need a letter from the coach, club or prove of competition representation and they will add that commitment into her report book.

Just that someone got to keep her record properly and submit to the school to claim the points.

My girl is in NYGH and she has chosen NPCC as one of the CCAs interested though she has no idea how it will be like. Does anyone here know if there are lots of marching for NPCC as compared with NCC?

                Thanks in advance

O, like that ah... You see, I'm trying to plan an escape route. My daughter has to train 6 times a week with the club, but the school CCA takes so much time, and during the training, she has to train the rest. Don't mind that, but really no time...

She doesnt need any cca, 2ppaamm. But she'll need to complete the 100 hours cip. yr case very unique, best to check with school.

Hm... maybe infocomm is good like mathsparks' daughter. Wonder if it is siong... and still can get A1, not bad...

Ermm, getting a1..is not just by joining infocomm. I mentioned competitive sailing in 1st 2 years, then there's cip of more than 100 hours, plus various leadership positions over the 4 years.

Tried that already. My older daughter was in the same shoes. For some reason, the school values attendance over results. So for this daughter, I'm trying to do something more creative. Gain competition points and participation points from different CCAs. That's why I'm looking for the least siong CCA.

My daughter is currently a performing member of the Singapore Symphonic Youth Orchestra / String Synfonia. As I understand, this qualifies as CCA under MOE. She is in River Valley High this year and has to choose CCA. In terms of the LEAPS Grading system, is it better to stay at SSYO as CCA or participate in school CCA?
