      There is another very good one at isun (goldhill). The trainer has very good testimonies. But very expensive.

      Hope it helps.

      How much is the regular lesson at iSun?

      Teacher Alice used to be at Science Buddies Bukit Timah. My children like her a lot, very witty and very good at coaching them in Science.

      Now wondering whether to switch to her for my girl PSLE 2012 or stick with Science Buddies.

      I personally went there to enquire. They said I had to send my son for a free test/assessment first (no obligations). But the place was too far from my home, so I decided to drop the idea though I was quite tempted to try becoz from the website, it seemed quite impressive. Didn't get to find out the cost.

      If you find the current tutor is good and your girl is enjoying the lessons, then better stick to it.[/quote]She likes the place, result ok. However she very much prefer Teacher Alice, more fun and she teaches the students how to answer the Paper 2 Questions, very thorough.

      The fees at iSun seems steep. Maybe I will send her to a workshop next Sept.

      Science Buddies is $400 per term.

      Look at the awards, which are the Value-Added Schools? Secondary schools are ranked.

      Lee Hsien Loong Award for Innovations in the Normal Course
      The award recognises schools whose innovative practices have led to significant benefits in the all-round development of students in the Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) Courses. The recipients for 2010 are:
      * Bendemeer Secondary School
      * Yishun Town Secondary School

      Take a look also at banding for express and normal.
      Ang Mo Kio Secondary
      Kranji Secondary
      Yishun Town Secondary

      call a spade a spade:
      Hi Skyjuice

      Are you still looking for a Science tutor? I know of someone who is highly recommended by his students and their parents but, he only teaches Chemistry and Biology. He can offer home tuition or conduct small group tuition from a centre at Coronation plaza. I can pm you his contact if you're interested.

      Hi,

      Would appreciate adv on central , T score on the range of 205 to 225...

      Thanks

      You can consider Gan Eng Seng School. Know some kids from this sch. Programme seems ok. In every sch, there will be some bad students, so it's important to check that your kids mix with the right company.

      Gan Eng Seng will be having their public open house on 22 Oct. They did not have any for several years.

      This year they are in band 4 (express) and their results have been improving for the past 3 years.

      They are Uniform Group (UG) Niche School with over 40% of students in a UG. Other excellent CCA includes basketball, table tennis, canoeing, drama.

      There are 4 express, 2 NA and 1 NT class.

      Program ok. They are aiming for autonomous status.

      Their cut-off is around 223.

      During competition months, she trains 9 hours with the states team daily, really have no time to go for school training. I know she will get lots of points for state representation, I just need a very easy CCA, which one har?

      Also, if she does not take the CCA she represents country in, will they still give her the points?
      Talk to the school! In her case, I believe she can be exempted from taking other CCA in school.

      My girls primary school doing so for sports. Only need a letter from the coach, club or prove of competition representation and they will add that commitment into her report book.

      Just that someone got to keep her record properly and submit to the school to claim the points.
