You can consider Gan Eng Seng School. Know some kids from this sch. Programme seems ok. In every sch, there will be some bad students, so it's important to check that your kids mix with the right company.

Gan Eng Seng will be having their public open house on 22 Oct. They did not have any for several years.

This year they are in band 4 (express) and their results have been improving for the past 3 years.

They are Uniform Group (UG) Niche School with over 40% of students in a UG. Other excellent CCA includes basketball, table tennis, canoeing, drama.

There are 4 express, 2 NA and 1 NT class.

Program ok. They are aiming for autonomous status.

          Their cut-off is around 223.

Asking on behalf of one of my neighbor. Her child is also taking the psle this year and she thinks her child will go into either NT or NA because her results are usually around the passing marks only and always have one to two failing subjects. She is looking for schools which are good for NT and NA (she is not sure what kind of "good" is good enough for these students).

But based on our conversation, I think she may be referring to a school with a good culture at least because she is afraid that her child being an NT or NA student, there may be lots of wrong companies so she is looking for schools which are better in this area in the north.

I am also looking for a school with good culture and curriculum but I am not sure which are the schools are the better ones since there will be black sheeps every where.

Are there such schools which are good not only for the NT and NA but the Express as well? Ok, since both my neighbor and myself are looking for such schools in the north, may be we should look at the overall instead?

Any schools with good culture and curriculum? It is definitely a big bonus with great teachers too. TIA.

Hi. Anyone has a child studying in Dunman Secondary School in Tampines? How is the school culture and curriculum like? Looked under Dunman Sec’s networking in this forum but can’t seem to find much info. Many thanks!

my friend's son from SASS. she told me unless your son is in the top class, else they don't give much attention to you. discipline not good either.

My friend just asked, it is very easy to choose schools if her child is only eligible for the normal stream but what if her child manages to get into Express but with very low score between 188-210? What are the better schools around Yishun, AMK, Bishan, Sembawang and Toa Payoh for such scores? TIA.
