mm.. i think you're right. i've never thought of that before. To be candid, your Disneyland trip with your kids will NEVER stop at HK. You will definitely go to Tokyo again...because there is also a DisneySea there and then later to L.A Disneyland and finally Florida's DisneyWorld. So the Disneyland trips are throughout your lifetime.
Times like this, I love being a parent more than ever.... :celebrate:
in that case i better start with hk disneyland. if i go to tokyo first, the hk one might feel like an anti-climax, esp if i do end up doing the disneyland marathon throughout our life  -

Better starts with HK. My kids went to Tokyo, California and then HK. They only spent 2 hours in HK and told me that it was so boring

For older kids, ocean park in HK is better. -

Haiyah, I think I spoilt market liao. We went to Euro Disney (Paris) in 2007 when DD3 was less than a year old.in that case i better start with hk disneyland. if i go to tokyo first, the hk one might feel like an anti-climax, esp if i do end up doing the disneyland marathon throughout our life
I guess this time round, they'd get to enjoy the rides much better. Will take your advice and start with HK.

I find Hong Kong one also not bad. Though it is small, but at least they speak Cantonese, Mandrain & English. Went to Japan one many years back and did not enjoy cos all the rides & shows are in Japanese. Maybe now they have improve already.

I have been to the disneyland in Paris and Tokyo. Both in foreign languages and long queues for the rides. Kids will enjoy more.

Was in Disney HK in July 2008. Planned it to avoid the local school holidays but forgot to consider the school term in China/HK.
So ended up in HK right smack in the school holiday season for both China/HK. Had to queue to death for all the popular rides and was squashed left, right and centre everywhere :x
Trust me, when that happens in the summer heat, it is not at all funny. So my honest advice to those planning to visit Disney HK is that you must check the dates carefully (i cannot emphasize enough, really!) to avoid the school hols there.
Cheers! -

Oh yes I missed the Paris one...that should be inserted either before or after LA followed by Florida.

wow… you’re right.
it’s definitely not funny to get squeezed left right centre while in the queue plus in the heat. that’s the thing i fear most in disneyland.
does anyone know when is the best time to go to hk disneyland? how about march?
i went to euro disney in winter some donkey years ago and it was a breeze… no queue at all. but of course you gotta brave the cold, but it’s better than queuing! -

Yeah, not forgetting, there are grandchildren to go with too....so it will be a marathon. I relish the thought of a different kind of experience in each Disney trip. First as a youth myself, then with special boyfriend, then as parent, as grandparent then with my joy luck club next time.. All different kinds of excitement.

Also no food allowed in HK Disneyland, you have to buy the food inside.
