that would sound wonderful to my dd too! plus can spend any amount of time on computer, ipad, wii etc without a peep from me.

i told my son to work VERY hard and he will be given 2 months to do anything he wished…play Wii, DS, Ipad, sleep till 9am, bathe and eat as per normal.

you may regret hor....
I also gave DS lotsa freedom to play and laze around after PSLE. (I laze together actually :rotflmao: )
End up, slack so much that to get him (more accurate is US) back on track took some time.....also, he was totally unprepared for Sec 1, quite ignorant of all the new subjects with only borderline passes for his first 'diagnostic class tests'.

For DD this year, learnt my lesson. Intend to only give her 2 weeks of total freedom after PSLE :evil: ......else she will really spend all her time eating and watching tv/drama/serial. While DD has complaint of 'unfair treatment', she has kinda agreed cos' I have explained the rationale to her

Does anybody know what a student should be getting for their average results should they choose to go for DSA to a top secondary school via academic results and to be successful? What should be their average mark range? (e.g 85+)

I hv plans to travel once the last paper is done. Will send the boy to grandma's place to do whatever he wants. Will continue to go for CL tuition in the holiday to prepare him for sec 1 Chinese.

Life should be as per normal, just no more go to school.

Arghhhh :yikes: I have given my words to DS.

Never mind lar... If his Sec 1 grade suffers, then let it suffers. Maybe it is a good thing for him Anyway, I told him that it is up to him whether he wants to study or not in Sec 1. I cannot hand hold him forever. But I know it is easier said than done. Maybe next year around this time I am still worrying about his study

Hmm… I think it’s a good chance to let kiddo learn some life skills. Since DS likes to cook/bake, think I would let him try running the kitchen for a week

Oh... You reminded me of asking my son to learn to type using 10 fingers instead of 2 fingers... It is life skills too Hmmmm... must think how to plot this :evil:
