Yup, on the 18th floor. Their website is http://www.perceptum.com.sg

Do we need to make prior appt to meet and discuss or just register online?

I saw their 2010 timetable for P3 Science at Bt Timah is from 11.30am to 1pm. I have already arranged a CL class that runs from 1pm to 2.30pm. Back-to-back very siong hor? Hoping there is another timeslot.

You can call up Mrs Sim to check with her. She's a very nice and approachable lady. You can reach her at 92993010.

              mumto2,

I would appreciate some insights about Perceptum’s Mrs Sim and Mr Lee. Generally what do they cover during the 2hours lesson and why is your dd impressed with Mrs Sim ? Is it the ability to make lesson interesting ? Or to spot questions or something else ? Your children started tution with this center from P4/5/6 ?

Just some background, I am near the area but my son typically gets distracted in group tution environment so I am hoping to find out more about the lessons before jumping in. Many thanks in advance !

Wow, so much information… I’m enrolling my DS for P1 in 2011… hopefully he will be able to cope… Can I ask what time do they have to get to school for afternoon sessions? and what time does school dismiss? thinking of changing to a partime job so that I can be home for him, but not sure of the timing. TIA!!

My dd only started Maths tuition in P6. We decided to enrol her so as to expose her to more challenging Maths questions. After attending 2 lessons at Perceptum, dd was able to solve tricky questions very fast and accurately. She's now able to complete 2 pages of PSP under 3 mins with no difficulty (before that, she got to spend quite a bit of time on PSP). She said Mr Lee teaches them the techniques/skills to solve questions faster. The questions set by Mr Lee during class are challenging and interesting and he will explain to the children the concept and the solution in very detailed manner. If he finds that the kid is not suitable for group tuition, he will advise otherwise. A friend's dd was referred to private tutor after Mr Lee finds her not suitable for group tuition and the tutor was referred by him.

DD attended Mrs Sim's 1st lesson on Mon. I have heard very positive reviews about her. According to dd, her science class is very interesting. DD came back with a list of 500+ commonly used science terminologies after the 1st lesson. I thought the list is very helpful.

Mr Lee and Mrs Sim are super approachable. They click very well with my girl. My girl is also attending Newtonapple (under Mr Chia) for Science and English. We actually asked her to decide among the 2 for Science but she wants both.

Knowing that my dd is under Mr Woon for Science, we feel 'safer' that she's under the guidance of Mrs Sim and Mr Chia.

For Newtonapple, she started with Mr Chia since P5. Newtonapple uses mind maps so the kids do absorb easier and faster.

                  Hope the above helps.

My younger dd will be attending P1 in 2011 too! If i recall correctly (the eldest in P6 now), they need to be in school by 12:40pm and dismissal is at 6:35pm

Hi, safest time to be at school is before 12:30pm. They have to silent-read at the hall unless it is occupied. It will be great if you could be with your child to help him out. I remembered first term, though no CA1 for P1 but they had to spend quite a significant amount of time on their Reading Activity Card which was made up of project-research based questions.

Do they have it for P2 too? No mention of it from my dd.
