Wonder are our kids the same? I printed some past yr papers for my DD1 to do, she just put them aside. At time when her sit down to do, she will show me that tired face and/or, sneak off to somewhere to do something, suddenly have unfinished homework when just a while ago said all homework done. So relax like there no exam at all…

Then for my DS, he seem more relax with school work. Just found out his chinese practice paper that was done just 2 weeks ago score only 70%…that’s pretty low for P1…really dun know what to do with him…

cant do much on Friday except to accept the fact...at least I dun need to nag him to do his revision. Past days, already vmoitted buckets of blood...I tink i am sitting for exam and not him loh...he is so relaxed...reading high way codes..story books. etc...Asked him to do past yr papers in the room, he was playing with the fan, pen, eraser etc except doing the paper....

same here too.. mum is like :yikes: and they seem very relaxing and can play game some more. Looks like we are sittting exam instead of them... :faint: :faint: :faint: :faint:

DS1 did mentioned some of his frds’ parents oso kept asking them to do past year papers…so we told him, all parents are the same…want their kids to perform well.


On 1 May, he complaint why he must revise his work when it was Labour Day…Labour Day = no work day. He said his life very miserable woh…we must spend half an hour scolding/ telling him he need to do this and that…by then, we are either too angry or tired to revise with him.

DS2 so far did okay with his unit tests…I need to constantly revise with him cos he need a lot of time to absorb one topic…He is not that good in chinese and maths…last nite, have a hard time to coach him addition/substraction. I have kept all these toys and only allowed him to take out to play on weekends. Weekdays are only for reading and writing.

Hi all

I heard Maths paper was tough even for toher levels…DS1 said, he noe for sure he will lose 8marks for Paper 2 cos he can’t figure out how to solve them…hoping teacher will give him some workings marks.

As for English, he said he had 3 qns in Compreh Close that he could not do…so he guess the 3s…

Am keeping my finger crossed for today’s chinese paper, he is lousy with chinese and has no interest in that…it is a torture for him…

My DD1 will also lose her 8 marks for paper 2 cos she did not complete 1 qn and the other qn she din have the time to correct the answer when she realise it is wrong. Both qn carries 4 marks each.

As for chinese, my DD1 also dun have much confidence. She was trying out Nanyang paper last night and was lamenting why so tough. And my hubby look at it, it is actually not that difficult. So dun noe how she will do today, hopefully she will do well...praying hard...

Strange. It sounded so much like my boy's feedback to his papers. :scratchhead:

So, the school makes it standard across the board - if Maths paper is difficult, make it difficult for all levels, etc? :faint:

Psst...sunshine_06, wouldn't it be even more disastrous if your hubby found the paper difficult? Everybody would be in a panic mode, right?

me huh…i din let him try Nanyang paper…that school chinese std is higher the RMPS.

He only did the ACS one…commenting easy and then when I marked, mistakes everywhr…:<
