Just confirmed that it's true that the LED lighting is not as bright, for a high ceiling interior I would required double wattage to maintain the same level of brightness.

One LED halogen bulb is $60+, downlight bulb is $30+.... omg, I must go count how many lights is there...

For chandeliers, I can easily replace the bulbs to LED, but may not be the case for downlights and halogens, the casing may not fit... will need a contractor to redo.

And I need the highest wattage ones for the chandeliers, especially the one on the stairwell, 3m in height, there is more than 50 mini bulbs there maybe :faint:

@Limlim, garden lights and gate lights are solar powered… my roof is not suitable to install the solar panel lei, we have more than 1/3 of glass roof at the back of the house like an attic or loft, which is the recreation area with a multipurpose room and an open bath, small pool and jacuzzi and mini BBQ pit, separate entrance from the main compound.

Haiz... think the most viable option is to install split unit airconds at ground floor and second floor's living room, leave the centralized aircond off :xedfingers:

But, my wallpapers 😒 ..... the feature wall is a stone cum onyx wall, which is not possible to do any conceal piping, and the rest of the walls are wallpapered... 😒

:torchme: ya boi... feel so bad... I for one that never leave tap running while soaping, brushing teeth, or even hand washing I would not turn on the tap until I am ready to rinse.... If dds/dh caught wasting water they will get :spank: from me.

Must, must really do something about this wasteful trend... its time.

LED confirmed not as bright if talking about the same wattage. But it is supposed to last much much longer, although it is like 3 times as expensive. It is also supposed to be better for the eyes as there's something that's more constant although I can't remember it now -- saw this 'dunno-what' meter at those light shops when I went scouting for lights when renovating the house. The meter kinda showed LED doesn't flicker much c.f. with conventional lights and therefore protect the eyes more.

Also, apparently Singapore has one of the worst records when it comes to carbon emission, given how urban we are. Changing to LED will improve that situation πŸ˜„
