      Jennifer:
      vinegar:

U can buy the ready made sambal belacan.

      Any particular to recommend? :thankyou:

i've not tried any ready made, coz my mum always makes for me :imcool:

but i've tried other paste or condiments from \"Singlong\",find the taste quite nice. Sometx,i'll get recommendation from those small stall owners at wet market,i mean those stalls selling dried food such as kiam chye, garlic, onion.

        Thinking of:

        1. Miso soup with silken tofu
        2. Steam sliced pork
        3. Steam eggs
        4. Stir fry French bean, topped with Jap seaweed
        5. 香辣凉拌黄瓜 http://www.haocai777.com/article/liangcai/200904/164.htm

What brand of miso paste do you normally use? Thanks

I buy the powder sachet form. The previous time I bou it in a box, recently saw them packed under Nature Glory's brand.

                  about 4 months, almost 5.

i told hubby i am sick of the food...paying 'deluxe' but the food quality is undesirable...thinking of doing away with tingkat...that means, making more soups. if want to eat something deep fried, 1) use air fryer 2) packet from downstairs.

I also had tingkat few months prior to the psle. Ya, after a while, the food is predictable and we don't look forward to eat  Once we had tang hoon swimming in black sauce and a few pcs of tau kee. Sian hor?!

Then I told myself not to be too hard on myself. Start with boiling soup if i can. If Can blanch a vege and make a stew will be a bonus 😄 . Else ta pow few dishes, like fried fish when I can't cope certain days, then cook a rice. At least got one home made soup 😄 . And my ingredients for soup is always roughly chopped. hehe..

Jen, your menu is always very interesting. Yesterday I fried the pork strips with peas. All walloped clean clean 😄

Today I 🤷 what to cook
