mathsparks:
 there're many other experienced and knowledgeable parents out here. I'm sure they'll help too nearer the dsa period.
I know enough of DSA (having done 3 times), P4 is definitely not too early to start preparing. I'm dealing with a special needs child (high order autism), so I will need to spend more time, to be fair to him. -
So 2ppaamm, dont forget to share your experience…dsa thru sports and music, I’m sure it’ll help a lot of parents out there as well!

Kawan
Catch u here...
When are you going to share with us....Me not very far right?hahahhamathsparks:
If you've time read thru the 59 pages, :yikes: again, there're lots of experience shared by other parents as well. You could find a little info here as well:2ppaamm:
Mathsparks, do you have something written about how to help GEP kids do DSA? I have never tried that, have always done it the sports or music route. I have friends whose GEP children did not make DSA. Can you share how you did yours?

Or as I've said in earlier post, I may write abt how to prepare the portfolio/interview. -
hi joy, yep, you’re not far indeed. starting to feel kan cheong, eh? no worries, will drop you a mail if my post is up.

I will write something closer to DSA... But for sports and especially music, it starts when you are 6 or 7. Some as early as 4. So it has to be passion and love for the discipline rather than just for DSA purposes. -

Thanks, mathsparksHi, verykiasu2010,
so, your son's doing psle this year. I guess you're aware of the RIPMWC and APMOS/SMOPS for P6s? As for sought-after cca, are you refering to entry by sports dsa? Do read thru the pages (all 59 of them :yikes:) and I may be writing a post on preparing that all important portfolio.
Drop me a pm if you need more info.
where to get info on RIPMWC ? as for CCA, yes, no \"useable\" CCA though he won some prizez in some international competition but not the CCA highlighted by RI
Look forward to your sharing again on DSA prep.
Thanks! -
Thanks, mathsparks.

Hi mathsparks,
my son is p5 this yr. Heard that we can also visit the open house of sec school during the dsa period. Is it ok to do so ..or is it too early (kiasu).... :? -
vlim:
Quite a number of students visit Open Houses in P5, so go ahead. Never too early to do your homework. Sometimes, after going to an Open House, you (or your kid) will change your mind about the school. I know we did.Hi mathsparks,
