Agree with sunlight and brownbear. Took it in December. The wires of my inflight remote control were exposed and they just stick back with black tape. They forgot my meal, although it’s nothing to shout for.

The air stewardess were grouchy. My husband was watching the movie with the headphones on when the she was asking him his choice of food, so he didnt catch her question. When he asked her to repeat, she said, "Oh, you didn’t hear what I say?"

Short haul flights has no kids pack, and no games like krisworld. The cartoons were only screened once, so leaving my children pretty restless after the cartoons ended, end up playing the ipad and handphone.

first time and last time on this airline to HK. Feel that my previous jetstar experience was much much better.

Cathay - food is horrible and service is 6/10 . . i dont think its really worth it .

Although its cheaper than SQ, i think if you are going with kids , SQ will be a better choice . SQ is more child friendly. 🙂

Personally, I will prefer sq over Cathay and Jetstar over Sq.

The only thing that Cathay is better over Sq is the children’s pack. Other than that, service so-so, the aircraft interior no eye see…

The best I like abt sq is their efficiency in boarding the passengers & getting the luggage. Other than that, I no eye see.

Jetstar is the best though its a budget carrier. Their staff are good… Luggage handling also okie. Only thing, it’s a budget carrier, that’s why they dun hv much food to serve.

I went Hong Kong last year with my 2 young kids in tow.

CX ground service people are not up to scratch.

Air crew service was much better. Food wise is so-so.
They screw up my children’s meal and my kids did not have kids meal.

SQ will always be my favoured choice if budget permits.

I don’t like SQ when it comes to child meal. Even when I booked child ticket online, the child meal does not come automatically and you have to request it.

I missed them on some occasions and my kids have to take adult meal.

Secondly, their child meal always the same - Spaghetti

I never had problem with getting child meal that I request online with SQ. they always come and not always spaghetti lah. But we have really bad child meal experience for 2 flights we took originating from Moscow. The child meal is Russian food! Really cannot eat. Adult meals were more international. I thot they should have better sense to cater child meal to be more international rather than local Russian. There were patties of carbo that were totally tasteless. When I asked if my daughter could change to an adult meal instead, the stewardess said she couldn't give her as they may not have enough for other passengers. Fair enough, so I told her I didn't want my meal and to give my share to my daughter. When the supervisor heard me, she said there was enough and brought 2 sets for us. This is the first time ever that I ask to change food. So anyone taking SQ originating from Russia, don't order child meal! :yikes:

I think Moscow sector must have very few kids that's why so bad. 😞
